Fantastic 5.0
The hotel pickup was on time and the car was clean. Breakfast on board consisted of bananas, muffins, and drinks. You need to fill out the passenger manifest. The guide tries hard to explain the precautions in English. They talk for a long time, but to summarize: when heading to the island, you will transfer to a smaller boat (a long-tail boat) and get off at the island's floating pier. Your feet won't get wet. The paths on the island consist of extremely steep, ladder-like stairs, so please pay attention to your footwear. Since it is a national park, do not swim outside of designated areas. When snorkeling, please borrow a mask from the staff on the island. Don't lose it. Those who want to kayack can transfer to a kayak from the back of the boat. For that, we will lend you a waterproof bag, so put your valuables in it and take it with you. Also, the boat has free water, cola, and sprite in a cooler box, so please help yourself with a cup. Please throw trash in the trash can. We also sell beer, snacks, instant noodles, and smartphone waterproof cases, so please check them out. The boat travels slowly at around 10 knots. Just take it easy. Along the way, your cell phone signal might drop to 3G. Lunch is served after returning from the first island by small boat, where food is plated one by one in order, cafeteria-style. It is not a buffet. It might be difficult for picky eaters. Please wear a life jacket for kayaking, taking small boats, and snorkeling. On the way back, a tip box will somehow appear. It's a tour you can enjoy even if you don't understand English. However, you can't expect much from the snorkeling. There are no fish and no coral reefs. You would be better off joining a tour to places like Koh Tao where that is the main focus. The underwater area is full of rocks, so even if you wear water shoes, it will hurt. There are showers on the island. You can also change clothes there.

Fantastic 5.0
our guides, mikey, Dennis, mr arm & captain jack sparrow were incredible, especially mikey, he was so happy, funny and nothing was to much for him, he also played music. The boat trip itself was very bumpy but me & my family enjoyed that. We didnt see much while snorkeling at koh tao which was slightly disappointing but cant be helped. koh nangyuan was the most beautiful place we have ever seen, my teenagers walked to the viewpoint which they loved. & the water there where you can snorkel was absolutely insane, so clear & warm. We were given toast & hot/cold drinks before we left, then had lunch on a beach at koh tao which was lovely. There was also water/diet coke & Pepsi on board the boat which you could help yourself too. Would recommend this trip.

Prompt pick up at lobby, smooth ride. Clear information, easy to follow instructions. 2hrs on Pigs Island, ample time to take pictures, feed the pigs and chill around. You can even choose to kayak (included) if you want. Free cold drinks provided on speedboat. No hard pressing to purchase anything. Up to 45min snorkeling before returning to Samui for yummy Thai lunch. Overall very satisfied with the tour!

Fantastic 5.0
We had a wonderful day! It started with breakfast after the transfer, consisting of toast and fried dough, jam, peanut butter, as well as Nescafé, water, and juice. There's medication available for seasickness. Afterward, we took a speedboat for about an hour to go snorkeling. Unfortunately, the corals are damaged due to tourism. However, you can still see some fish. We then continued to the main island. Here, you could hike to the viewpoint and go kayaking. Kayaking is unguided, and for the hike, you shouldn't expect an easy path. According to the guide, the ascent and descent take 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your fitness level. I personally only went to the first of five viewpoints; even the viewpoint to Emerald Lake is not an easy walk. It involves more ladders than stairs. We were lucky with our guide, Maÿya; she kept everyone in good spirits all day and kept an eye on everyone. Thank you!

The excursion was amazing, with beautiful views and excellent guides! The lunch was delicious, and we had plenty of time to snorkel and see lots of marine life. Highly recommend! Water shoes are only needed on the beach, but we managed just fine without them, walking around in flip-flops. The breakfast was disappointing, though, so I’d recommend bringing some extra food of your own.

Wonderful experience in Koh Samui! Thank you to the team for the smooth arrangements for my last-minute request. They were very responsive with a reasonable price and the private trip was very flexible. Although we had limited time to go snorkelling and visit Pig Island, we could communicate with the captain to fit our schedule. Highly recommended to go there with Discover Thailand!✨

What to know before visiting Ko Samui

What to do in Ko Samui

Ko Samui is best known for relaxed island life and experiences led by Tours, Outdoor & sports activities and Water activities, with restful Massages and occasional Cruises rounding out bookings. Klook booking data shows demand rises and falls through the year, peaking in July when Tours and outdoor adventures are especially popular and dipping sharply in September. If you want lively beach days and the busiest activity options, aim for the July peak; if you prefer a quieter island pace, consider the quieter shoulder months. Decide between peak atmosphere and quieter flexibility. Based on Klook booking data.

When to visit and what to expect

July is the clear busiest month on Klook, with a 67% increase in demand versus a typical month, while September is the quietest with roughly 60% lower demand. Prices move differently across the year: they are typically lowest in July at AUD 16, then climb to a dramatic high in November at AUD 142, so low crowds don't always mean low prices. For lower prices and smaller crowds, visit around September; for peak-season atmosphere and the widest choice of tours and water activities, visit in July. Klook booking data frames these trends.

January Busier than usual AUD 28

August About average AUD 22

Demand is bookings in that month compared with a typical month, from historical Klook booking data, grouped into the demand levels above; typical price is the median paid on Klook in that month; prices are shown with their currency code. Based on Klook booking data, July 2025 – June 2026.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most travellers book fairly close to travel: experiences on Klook are typically arranged about 2 days ahead, with the earliest planners booking around six days out. That short planning window gives flexibility to pick dates and activities at short notice, but during July’s peak demand it's wise to book earlier to secure popular tours and water activities. Klook booking data indicates many options remain bookable last minute, yet pre-booking for peak months reduces the risk of sold-out slots. Use Klook to compare options, lock in preferred time slots and keep plans flexible.
