Really enjoyed the Alishan tour! Everything was well organized and we didn’t have to worry about planning the transportation ourselves. The scenery was beautiful, and our guide was helpful throughout the trip. Overall, it was a convenient and enjoyable experience. Would recommend!

I've always wanted to try tea picking, as I often see shows about it on TV. For my first time, I was lucky to have incredibly good weather. The tea plantation owner and his son shared their knowledge about tea, allowing our group to savor the aroma of Alishan tea. The entire experience was very enjoyable. The Alishan trip was also highly anticipated; the sacred trees were each more massive than the last, exuding abundant forest phytoncides. I truly wanted to take many deep breaths of the fresh tree scent. The nostalgic small train wound through the forest, encountering seas of clouds and mist, with the scenery constantly changing. The beauty of nature was truly astonishing. We made a brief stop at the Tianchangdijiu Bridge for photos, preparing ourselves for the ascent to an altitude of over 2,000 meters. Although the drive was quite long, it was well worth it. Our driver, Dunken, drove very steadily, took care of the group along the way, introduced us to various attractions, and took many beautiful photos for us. The entire journey was filled with pleasant memories.

The scenery at Chiayi Taiping Suspension Bridge is incredibly beautiful and pleasing to the eye. Klook's ticketing system is very convenient; you can scan the QR code directly for quick and affordable entry. Walking on the suspension bridge at an elevation of 1,000 meters truly gives you a floating sensation; it's genuinely a high-altitude cloud ladder. On the other side of the suspension bridge, you'll find panoramic views that can only be described as breathtaking. The scenery at Yunzhinan Tea Garden is stunning, and from there, you can walk to Taiping Old Street. Upon exiting, you'll see the Air Library, where you can enjoy a local hot pot set meal. It's definitely worth recommending a visit here.

With temperatures around 17 degrees Celsius in April, you'll need light warm clothing for hiking in Dasyueshan (Great Snow Mountain). When you stop, add a windbreaker. The area is not crowded, and the air is fresh, making it ideal for summer hiking. Cell phone reception is poor in the mountains, so always hike with a companion, download offline maps, and prioritize safety.

Taiping Mountain is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. The ticket redemption was smooth, only need to present the QR codes. I will definitely return in the near future.

Overall, my experience on Alishan this time was really great 🌿🚂 There was no pressure to rush through the itinerary. Riding the small train slowly through the forest, the scenery along the way was very therapeutic, and the air was incredibly fresh. I felt completely relaxed. The trails were also well-planned, making it comfortable to stop and go as I pleased, perfect for those who want to slow down. Regarding the tour guide, the one we had this time was very friendly and professional. Not only did they provide detailed explanations, but they also proactively guided us to good photo spots and even helped take pictures. This added many positive details to the entire trip and made us feel very at ease.

I was drawn by the inclusion of the forest railway, so I booked a 2-day, 1-night Alishan trip (outbound: car, return: car + train). After the reservation was confirmed, I received information about what to bring and precautions via LINE. Closer to the date, I also received detailed information about the meeting point, driver's name, and vehicle number, which was reassuring. (All in Chinese, but translation software helped.) The documents provided when boarding the shuttle car also included Japanese, which was easy to understand. The guide spoke Chinese, so I needed someone to translate for me, but there was plenty of explanation time during the 2-hour hike. The paths were well-maintained with wooden decks and stone pavements, so even with my limited stamina and in the rain, I was able to walk comfortably. One word of caution: if you use a private car transfer, there's a high risk of motion sickness because the winding mountain roads have significant inclines. Even though I don't usually get car sick, I felt quite ill during the return transfer from Alishan to Fenqihu and wished I had brought motion sickness medication.
