Things to do in Asakusa

found this experience looking for things to do while staying in asakusa! thank you so much to mai and umar were so helpful and knowledgeable! definitely recommend 😊 also the building location is next to taito station if you have issues finding the address on google maps or apple maps!

my mom and I came here to get something to bring home as a souvenir that we could use and show off, and we did not regret it! the instructor Laura was very involved and patient with us, as it could be intimidating to deal with new equipment and we had to be careful to not break our rings in the process. I got a vintage coin from the Taisho era and it was a nice reminder of Japan. my mom got a vintage Singaporean coin from the 70s as it was nostalgic for her. both turned out comfortable and beautiful, we can't wait to show them off to our friends and family!

June was our guide along with another sweet young lady (but I can’t remember her name). My friend and I both enjoyed the tour. They had a photo book to provide additional information. They shared information on the differences between a shine and temple. There were so many fascinating facts.

One of the best things we've booked on our trip! The start gives a brief intro to sumo so even people who have not seen any sumo will definitely be knowledgeable by the time the matches the start. Fun times and chanko all night. Need I say more?

I visited with my kids, and it turned out to be a great family activity that everyone enjoyed. The experience was interactive, engaging, and kept both the kids and adults entertained from start to finish. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our visit.

Taku was a great knife sharpener guide! He was very knowledgeable and helped us with our class from beginning to end and answered a lot of questions my friends and I had. We had limited experience with knives, so this was very beginner friendly and now we know how to sharpen a Japanese santouka knife properly with a whetstone! I'd definitely recommend this experience for someone looking for a unique experience and lovely + useful souvenir.

I had the pleasure of joining an Asakusa walking tour with Yayoi, and it was a wonderful experience. She is incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything clearly in excellent English, making the history and culture easy to understand. I also appreciated how kind and attentive she was to another family on the tour, especially their children, making sure everyone felt included and comfortable. She even took me to the top of the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center, which offers an amazing viewpoint that I might have otherwise missed. Thank you, Yayoi, for such a memorable tour. This was an AWESOME experience. Hiyori was my teacher is she was super sweet and encouraging. I never felt rushed and was always supported. As an English speaker, everyone spoke English wonderfully. All the staff were nice and connected with everyone they spoke too. I also came alone and it was not weird.
