Taku was a great knife sharpener guide! He was very knowledgeable and helped us with our class from beginning to end and answered a lot of questions my friends and I had. We had limited experience with knives, so this was very beginner friendly and now we know how to sharpen a Japanese santouka knife properly with a whetstone! I'd definitely recommend this experience for someone looking for a unique experience and lovely + useful souvenir.
Such a fun and unique experience!! We came in not knowing anything about knife making and left with our own custom knife 😭 The instructors (apologies if I misspell your name but aru?) he was super patient and made everything easy to follow. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip and something I’d recommend to anyone visiting Japan!

Wonderful experience! The instructor gave great advice and was there to help us every step of the way. I highly recommend it if you want to make a unique knife that reflects your personality and is great for your own use!! Engraving is also available.
I reserved the knife experience for my husband birthday and it was amazing! Alberto who helped us was very kind and explained everything to us very well. He took his time with us and we never felt rush. I definitely recommend the experience. The best gift we are taking home!
Satoru was an an excellent teacher for the knife making class. His English is very good and took time to point out the finer points of sharpening using a Japanese stone. I would highly recommend this class to anyone coming to the area.
This was by far one of our favorite bookings on our one week Japan Trip, Joji was excellent and so easy to talk to. great employee. we spent a little longer than the hour sharpening and honing the knife. it was awesome
Kumiko was an amazing guide through the knife sharpening process! I learned a lot and feel ready to care for my new knife. There are upgrade options for different blades and handles if you want but they don't pressure you if you don't want to. I'd recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo and wanting a cool and personal souvenir.
