Tokyo Asakusa Chopsticks Workshop: Make Your Own Pair

I booked this and the Kintsugi art class they offer and was so impressed. The staff were amazing and the place is amazing! My husband and I started with making chopsticks. They have a couple you can choose from that were included or you can upgrade to some other chopstick options. We went with the ones included. We worked with Umar and he was so patient and kind to explain each step of the process. For a small additional fee you can also have your name engraved in Japanese which we did! I would highly recommend adding this to your next trip to Tokyo!

We had such a wonderful family experience at this Japanese craft studio. We made our own chopsticks, and it was both fun and memorable for all of us. The activity was well-organized, enjoyable, and something we will always remember from our Japan trip. Highly recommended for families! The Filipino staff were kind and always smiling.

This is my first time traveling to Japan, and while looking for a memorable activity, I chose the chopstick-making experience! Experiencing traditional crafts in Asakusa, which is currently the hottest and most traditional spot in Tokyo, was something my children loved so much and will surely remember. Moana was so kind and taught us in such detail that even though it was our first time, the kids had no trouble following along. It's going to be a lifelong memory. If I visit again, I'd love to do it again!

guided by Saira and Erika, like the previous days. but today I met Umar and Kai, they helped me with the other chopsticks… coz I made four again today. learned and talk a lot with Kai, he’s funny and awesome!!! Dewy and Nao were here too and I like seeing their friendly faces every time! LOOOOVE THIS PLACE

this was a wonderful class. making my own chopsticks was fun, and took some physical strength. i appreciated that they allowed us to add on the gold lacquer plate artwork, which made for a lovēy afternoon.

Great studio. English staff, clear steps, good tools. I booked chopsticks at 13:00 and stayed for knife making — both were well paced and I left with pieces I will actually use. 10F Tosei Building is easy to find. Worth the stop in Asakusa.
