Shezi Island hot springs

Spring City Resort This time, we used a Klook package that included one meal and a two-hour hot spring private room for 3,500 NTD. Upon arrival at the hotel entrance, a valet attendant will assist with parking, as guests are not permitted to drive down to the parking area themselves. It's good to be prepared to tip when leaving, to avoid an awkward moment with your wallet. Dinner was a fixed Japanese set menu with no other options available. Overall, it was decent. After eating, you can take a stroll around the area before returning to the hot springs. The pace of the itinerary felt quite relaxing. While the private hot spring room showed some signs of age and an older decor style, the room itself was spacious, and the bathing area was also roomy. The soundproofing of the main door was average, but since we visited on a weekday and there weren't many people, it wasn't a significant issue. What was rather perplexing was that shortly after we entered the room, a staff member knocked on the door and said our time was up. We were completely bewildered, thinking, "We just got in; did time fly by, or is our life being fast-forwarded?" The staff member later confirmed the mistake, apologized, and left, but this little incident was certainly a bit odd. Overall, although Spring City Resort's facilities and decor show their age, the service was generally acceptable, and the environment had a pleasant resort atmosphere. For 3,500 NTD for one meal and a two-hour private hot spring room, the value for money is still pretty good, making it a suitable place for a relaxing hot spring experience.

The double hot spring room was clean and comfortable, and the view was fantastic. My husband and I had a super relaxing afternoon. The all-you-can-eat afternoon tea after the hot spring was a huge bonus. Highly recommend "Jiabin Pavilion"!

This was a last minute booking. Booked it on the way to Beitou. Redeemed it within 15 mins with no issues. Staff were very accommodating and the 90 mins for the bath were more than enough. Complimentary snacks and cold drinks as well. There’s a hot and cold plunge within the private room. Just take note that there’s an additional 300 NTD fee for weekend visits.

Booking through Klook this time was incredibly convenient, and the overall experience was excellent! The process was clear, and everything ran smoothly, including on-site usage. Visiting Beitou Water House for a private bathhouse session was one of the most relaxing highlights of our Taipei trip. We originally walked in intending to purchase our tickets on-site, but the front desk staff was incredibly honest and helpful, suggesting that we book via Klook instead since it may be cheaper. We booked it on our phones right at the lobby, and the entire 90-minute experience was simply the best. The warm white sulfur soak did wonders for our tired muscles, helping us fully recover after logging over 20,000 steps each day of our trip. Between the therapeutic mineral water, sleek ambiance, and exceptional customer service, we will definitely be returning on our next visit to Taipei.

All of the amenities are functioning right except the water station, the cold water is not available. A vendo at the snacking area could be also useful. Nonetheless, I had a great experience with Shan Yue and will definitely comeback for more.

The facility was very good. The hot spring was also very pleasant. It wasn't like those strong sulfur springs where all your belongings smell like the hot spring when you get home; it was just right. The access from the station and other tourist spots is also good, so I recommend it if you're visiting Taipei. However, I imagine it's similar at most hot springs, but regulars seem to dominate the space. I was warned for not wearing a shower cap (which isn't customary in Japan), while they were eating food they brought into the bathing area. I want to respect local rules, so if shower caps are mandatory, I would appreciate it if that were clearly stated. If eating and drinking are also permitted, removing the 'no eating/drinking' signs would prevent me from feeling confused.

The experience was quite good. 3 hours were enough for us to enjoy the hot spring bath and relax after that. It would be better in the cold season anw.

If you don't like crowds but enjoy hot springs, there are off-peak discounts available from April to the end of September. Be sure to call ahead for a reservation before you go; the staff are friendly and provide detailed explanations. Also, if you're driving, you can first ask the guard at the entrance if there are any parking spaces left for the hot spring rooms. If not, there's a Qixing Park Dudu parking lot on the side of the MRT station across the street, and it's convenient to use a credit card to pay for parking. Today's room didn't have an outside window, but it had a relatively large pool, so there was plenty of space for two people to soak. Alternatively, if you prefer a larger resting area, you should choose a room with an outside window, even though the pool might be smaller.
