Beitou:Shaoshuai Zen Garden Hot Spring Experience in Taipei

we arrived earlier than our booked timing and the staff was kind enough to let us start the activity earlier (subject to availability). room was clean and well maintained. food and drinks were yummy. it was a relaxing afternoon well spent. travelling up to the place via public transport from the Beitou MRT station wasn’t difficult as well.

Very satisfied. Before coming here, I read an article about almost all hotels with independent hot spring rooms. I think this one is cost-effective. Moreover, the hot spring room has a beautiful view. The view is good. I recommend it. I like to be away from the hustle and bustle. I am a Hong Konger. At first, I was worried about the food quality. It exceeded my expectations. The sandwich was delicious. It was really delicious. 😂 Other sweet pastries are also good, and there are fruit drinks to choose from. In summer, there are green beans and tapioca as desserts, and they are not too sweet. The hot spring room is cleaner and better maintained than expected. The water flow is fast. The whole park has been decorated with a lot of effort. It is antique and fragrant. I really recommend it.

Overall, the environment is okay, but the boss put too many fake animal decorations in the park, and the whole style does not match the garden. The hot spring bathhouse is Japanese-style but there is a European-style angel doll at the faucet... Very good about the set menu. I am satisfied. The chef is very good at his skills, but the service is not refined, too loud and casual. There is no one in the restaurant, and the empty seats cannot be chosen by the guests. The service attitude needs to be improved.

Marshal Zen Garden was built in 1920. It was originally the Xingao Hotel and served as a comfort station for the kamikaze team before the Japanese occupation of Taiwan in the late period. Marshal Zhang Xueliang, who was under house arrest by Chiang Kai-shek in the 1960s, also lived here in seclusion. It has wooden walls and tiles. Fang Yin stands among the trees on the mountainside of Beitou. The air here seems to be filled with a touch of sadness. When standing under the nearly century-old wooden eaves and looking at Guanyin Mountain in the distance, you can feel a sudden sense of excitement and enlightenment. joy.

The private room was quiet and spacious for 2 pax. It was good to have both hot and cold spring water. We thought it would be great if there was a sofa bed for a quick nap after bath. The afternoon tea set and varieties of tea available were good.

The environment is comfortable, the hot springs are spacious, there are hot and cold springs, the scenery is beautiful, and the service staff are friendly, just like being at home. Xiaoliu afternoon tea is even more rich and delicious 😋 I will definitely visit again next time.

It is a very exquisite private hot spring. I was very tired so I didn't walk up. I took the subway to Beitou Station and then took the bus to the door. The afternoon tea tasted very good, and the salty snacks were even better. The whole Zen temple is on the mountain, and the environment is very quiet, with a little feeling of Miyazaki's fairy tale world. It is very suitable for taking photos, and the hot springs are genuine. After taking a full bath, all the fatigue is swept away!

This time I experienced: foot bath + afternoon tea + hot spring house. I came here because of Zhang Xueliang’s relationship. I think the park can add more in terms of history. I like the other three experiences very much! I had a very pleasant afternoon in the park, and the afternoon tea was also very exciting. I chose the Dusk Love period to see the scenery from the daytime to the evening, and the service staff were also very kind!

It's quiet, and I feel like I've just taken a break from my busy life. This kind of leisure you won't find in Hong Kong.
