I was notified in advance that Laforet Ito Onsen Yunoniwa was going through a hotel wide inspection and unable to accommodate my family of 4 during the dates I reserved. Hotel staff went over and beyond making reservations @ an upgraded 5 star onsen hotel with upgraded room. I was always in contact w/staff of what’s going on. Two staff members even came to Ito Station to transport us to Komeya Hotel, our new accommodations. Hopefully one day we can make it back to stay @ Laforet Ito Onsen Yunoniwa.

The hotel room is renovated; the materials are new; the area is very large; in addition to the hot springs, there is an indoor swimming pool, which is heated; the buffet breakfast and dinner are rich; especially the all-you-can-eat sashimi is plentiful and fresh; the family wants to stay again next time! Itinerary: Mount Omuro, train, coast. Time: Meet at 7:00 AM, return to Tokyo Marunouchi South Gate at 6:30 PM. Journey: There was some traffic on Saturday. We departed at 7:00 AM and arrived at 10:30 AM. We waited in line for about 15 minutes at Mount Omuro. After walking around and stopping, we didn't have time to eat udon noodles at the cafeteria. The train had seats facing the ocean, but the full ocean view didn't last very long. We spent about 35 minutes exploring the coast. Tour Guide/Driver: Master Long was enthusiastic, professional, and thoughtful. The day before, he helped everyone find the most convenient route in the group chat. He greeted us warmly first thing in the morning and provided detailed explanations for each location, including playtime, location, and important notes. He also thoughtfully considered various needs and always asked if anyone had other questions at the end of his explanations, assuring us we could ask him anytime. He delivered on this throughout the trip, making it a very comfortable day.

I did my tour with Serina and she is an absolutely lovely person that gives it at least 110% effort in order to make the journey as pleasant and as smooth as possible for everyone. I usually dislike tours like this to be honest, as the itinerary is either bad or tour guide not managing the group well enough in order for everyone being on time. Serina managed all of that excellently though and I would choose to travel with her again for sure. Had a great day, thank you Serina!

Booked a day trip bcs we wanted to go to Shizuoka. When booing the trip, I specifically requested for halal/Muslim-friendly food recommendations. Our tour guide, Zhao, was very helpful in ensuring we manage to get Muslim-friendly food. He's also very knowledgeable about the places he brings us to and quite funny 😂. We enjoyed the trip a lot, exploring the beauty of Izu. Thank you, Zhao for all the explanations, guidance and assistance provided. Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Long drive along the coastline to Omuro, scenic and car was comfortable, ¥1000 pp for a cable ride to go up Omuro Mountain, fog rolled in so couldn’t see much, it was very chilly at the top so I brought a T-shirt for ¥3800, not much of a choice up there so just bring an extra shirt or jacket. Our guide, Wei, was very nice and accommodating, we managed to communicate through text on WhatsApp. we had about 2 1/2 hours to check out Omuro and the zoo, but it wasn’t clear, so some people had only half an hour to check out the zoo. The entrance fee of the zoo was ¥2800 on weekdays, save your cable ticket and get ¥100 off zoo fee. so much to see at the zoo so I would try to spend more time at the zoo, then drove to Jogasaki, walked along the jagged rocks and crossed a small bridge, which looked bigger and different in the ad. Then went to the marine market for 30 minutes, I did buy a lot only to realize it’s cheaper at the regular local stores. good trip to get away from city

Omgosh! This was a long drive, but Mr. Jhon was amazing. We had a random stop for Potty Break and found some unique snacks. Hakone is so beautiful and green in June. The weather was perfect and we saw Mt. Fuji so many times.

What to know before visiting Ito

Quick snapshot of Ito and what draws visitors

Ito is a coastal city where tours, zoos & aquariums and museums dominate Klook bookings, giving the year a mix of outdoor and family-friendly options. Demand peaks in April and drops sharply toward August, so the visitor rhythm swings between a busy spring and a much quieter late summer.

Best times to visit and price patterns to expect

According to Klook booking data, April is the busiest month while August is the quietest. Prices, however, don’t follow demand exactly: past Klook prices were highest in August and fell to their lowest in December, so the priciest month by price is not the busiest by bookings. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, consider December or the trough in August; for peak-season atmosphere aim for April. Overall, prices are fairly stable across many months but dip noticeably in December compared with the summer months.

Tips for travellers

Most experiences here can be booked a week in advance: typical lead time is about 7 days, with last-minute options often available just a day out and earlier-bird availability opening around 25 days. If you’re planning travel in April (the busiest month), try to lock in popular tours earlier; for quieter months you can be more flexible and still find options on Klook.
