What to expect

Introduction to Yoshidaguchi Climbing Route of Mt. Fuji This trip chooses the most popular “Yoshida Route” among the four major climbing routes of Mt. Fuji. First, take a bus to the fifth station, and then start hiking from the fifth station to the top of the mountain. Please note that the summit location is limited to the top of the Yoshida Route. It is not possible to go to the highest peak on the other side (Tsurugi, 3,776 meters above sea level).

Features of Yoshida Route The Yoshida Route starts from the “Fifth Station of Mt. Fuji” and merges with the Yoshidaguchi Climbing Trail at the Sixth Station. There are rest and accommodation facilities, Komidake Shrine, etc. in the area around the Fifth Station. The atmosphere is lively and there are many tourists. At the Fifth Station, you will change your equipment at the “Fuji-Qyu Unjokaku”. Since the outbound and return buses are different, please leave the items you don’t need to carry in the coin locker or manage them properly by yourself. Usually we will gather and depart 30 minutes to 1 hour after arrival. You can prepare and eat freely before departure.

Mount Fuji hut (short-term stay, dinner, breakfast lunch) You will stay in one of the following huts. You cannot specify it in advance. The tour guide will inform you on the day:

  • Hakuunso (8th station/3,200 meters)
  • Gensoshiro (8th station/3,250 meters)
  • Fujisan Hotel (main 8th station/3,400 meters)
  • Goraikokan (8th station/3,450 meters)

The hut is a group stay, and quilts or sleeping bags are provided. There are no bathrooms, showers, or sinks Each hut has a sales department and toilets, and also provides commemorative services such as burning stamps (for a fee) There are no changing rooms, so please use the toilets and other places to change clothes. Breakfast lunch is usually collected when entering the hut

Review for: [No equipment rental] Mt. Fuji Climbing 2-day Tour (with Climbing Guide)

I can accept the trip cancelled because of typhoon. but So sorry I can’t accept merchant’s poor communication with the customer. I’m lucky open the apps and read the cancelation notification. in this urgent case you have to reach customer directly with email or texting/ SMS. for your note, I came from kyoto and have to take shinkansen back to back after that. it’s wasted and you dont even reply my messege. what a ashamed!

Review for: [No equipment rental] Mt. Fuji Climbing 2-day Tour (with Climbing Guide)

one of the worst tours I ever did regarding organization. 1. 7:10 grouped up in a bus with other tour, all other tours had WhatsApp contact of the guide 2. arriving 9:30 only tour with missing lunch ticket - had to wait until 12:30 to start mountain climb 3. guide did not speak English 4. no information regarding day was shared, just to move up to the mountain. arrived at the hut 2 hours before the guide, staff did not even let us enter the hut because no booking was shared (it was raining, we were OUTSIDE) even in our own hut we had to pay for the toilet (200y). food was a bowl of rice handed with an instant sauce in a plastic (self service). —> if you go on a mountain don’t expect luxury. it’s ok to take your trash and have no water. but it’s not ok to pay for toilet, have no support and a Japanese only guide.

Review for: [12-piece Equipment Rental] Mt. Fuji Climbing 2-day Tour (with Climbing Guide)

The tour guide only spoke Japanese, so the instructions were unclear. Also, due to miscommunication regarding the situation, I arrived on time for my return trip, but the transportation staff had poor communication and I was unable to board the bus. I was then informed that the bus had already departed. As a result, I had to pay for my own transportation and was unable to enjoy the onsen and meal. Therefore, if you intend to participate in this tour, you really need to have a certain level of Japanese proficiency.
