Tokyo: Shibuya Sumo Show with Drink and Photo

this was super worth it! we learned so much about the sumo sport and it was entertaining the entire time. my 7 year old also has a blast. next time, we hope we get lucky enough to challenge the wrestlers ourselves!

Fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone interested especially if you want to watch some sumo wrestling and can’t attend one of the 6 sumo tournaments that take place annually (+ very competitive). This was a well thought out and intentional opportunity to learn about sumo history, see professional sumo wrestlers show us their training and wrestling tactics, and ask the wrestlers questions directly- all in a lighthearted atmosphere! I signed up not knowing fully what to expect for myself, partner, mother and sister. We span multiple age groups (18-57) and all of us had a blast! It is a family friendly event and we got a photo with the sumo wrestlers in the end to memorialize our time. thank you shibuya sumo club!

Paula was an amazing host and the rest of the staff was super helpful! the experience as a whole was extremely education and the engagement from the sumo wrestlers helped elevate the experience.

A truly great and entertaining sumo experience! The show was wonderfully structured and very diverse. Joe, in particular, created a really great atmosphere with his friendly and open demeanor. He actively involved the audience and explained everything in an understandable and entertaining way. It was especially cool that you could participate yourself at the end – this made it not just something to watch, but a real experience. Overall, a very successful show that beautifully combines Japanese culture, entertainment, and interaction. Absolutely recommended if you're in Tokyo and want to experience sumo in a slightly different way.

Super fun experience - the host and the sumo wrestlers were all entertaining. They gave a really good historical and informational presentation. The audience participation at the end was very fun too!

Great experience. Six people were chosen by lot to wrestle the sumo fighters. Of course, I was one of them, but it was a cool experience. Before that, everything was explained and introduced to us by Dai. Definitely something for everyone.
