Joined the 1-Day Kyoto Tour with Sunrise Tours and it was an absolute highlight of our Japan trip. Our tour guide was incredibly informative, courteous, and thoughtful — sharing fascinating insights while ensuring everyone felt comfortable and included. Perfectly organized with seamless transportation and a wonderful balance of must-see temples and hidden gems. Highly recommended!

This walking tour was a great tour with more steps added to your walking haha. Marie our tour guide was so knowledgeable about every attraction with their history and helpful in showing us what’s around the area of Kyoto, Gion etc. She also takes great photos and gives any food recommendations wherever we are. At the end we were given some gifts from Marie which was a nice suprise. Would book with her again next time.

It is an awesome tour, felt like hanging out with a local friend! My friend and I booked the Kyoto Gion Cultural Walk for the 10:30 AM slot, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! Since this is a new start-up, it’s the perfect choice if you want to support a small business and avoid the massive, overcrowded tour groups. No one else booked our time slot, so we actually ended up getting a "private" tour just for the two of us! Our guide, Momo, was top. We learned so much about Kyoto's history and Geisha culture. Since it was our first time in Japan, we asked a million random questions on the street, and Momo happily answered them all while keeping us safe in the busy crowds. Fun fact: Momo is a former chef, so we got some excellent food recommendations too! The pace was super relaxed. Momo even let us take a quick detour to a Totoro shop just because my friend was so excited. If you want a great, relaxing experience, highly recommend booking this!

Milo was my tour guide and he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable on everything Kyoto and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him. I also loved how he met me at my hotel. He took me to some lovely souvenir shops and around the Geisha district and out of the hustle and bustle. Overall great experience!

Keiko was very knowledgeable. She hasbtaken time to learn the culture around Gion and was able to share insights of Geikilo and Maiko culture. The rour had many interesting spots and stories. Was a wonderful 2 hours spent with Keiko. We even spotted a Geiko! And that was a bonus.

Hassan was an AMAZING tour guide. He was knowledgeable, kind, and had great energy. He took us to all of our desired destinations. He was incredibly helpful assisting my mother up and down stairs, and took his time explaining the history of each spot. He truly made our Japan trip memorable. Thank you Hassan for all your hard work.

Our guide, Ms. Shion, was amazing! She is very enthusiastic and engaging. The walk covers quite a lot at a good pace, but we didn't spot any maiko or geisha, which was my main objective. I wonder if the route could be reversed so there's a higher chance of spotting the talented artists in the Gion district?

Amy hizo de esta una experiencia muy memorable. Fue muy informativa al proporcionar detalles sobre cada parada. Tomó fotos increíbles de mí y de otros en el tour. Dio excelentes recomendaciones. Incluso se desvió de su camino para comprar y proporcionar bocadillos para compartir con todos en el tour, además de ofrecer postales gratuitas y tarjetas de caligrafía con nuestro nombre. Cuando empezó a llover, ¡incluso nos proporcionó paraguas! ¡Recomendaría a Amy a amigos y familiares! Y reservaría futuros tours con ella cada vez que regrese.

Me quedé realmente impresionado con este viaje. Cada lugar que visitamos era absolutamente hermoso. El guía nos cuidó muy bien y nos dio tiempo suficiente en cada destino para disfrutar plenamente y empaparnos del ambiente. El tiempo de viaje entre cada parada fue el justo, y me encantó cada destino en el camino. ¡Definitivamente me encantaría volver y hacer este viaje de nuevo!
