It was such an honor and a great experience. Definitely worth the money. We had fun as Ai was such an excellent guide. She provided nuances between Maiko and Geiko, correcting the preconceived notions given by the movie, Memoirs of a Geisha, and being an excellent interpreter. Umemai-san, the maiko that performed for us, was very amazing. For someone so young to be able to perform for us with great confidence and answer all of our questions, she was just superb. Great job for GuideMe Japan Team for arranging this tour!

What a wonderful experience. The performance and information provided by the lovely Maiko Umemai was absolutely splendid, and our guide Genki did a fabulous job hosting us and providing translations throughout. Thank you all, I 100% recommend this to anyone wanting a cultural experience. We didn't participate in the Shrine tour afterwards because we stumbled upon the Shrine on the way to the geisha experience, but I have no doubt that would have been fantastic as well.

An amazing and unique experience with our guide Yoshino. Meeting a real life Maiko in one of the oldest districts was very special experience. I would highly recommend this tour!

Amazing quality experience. If you’re wondering if you should book this experience, DO IT. You won’t regret it. The okiya was beautiful and the Q&A session, as well as the information shared, was richly informative and exciting. We all got to play a game at the end with the maiko as well. Beautiful and fun experience. 100% recommend. Arrive 10 minutes before so you can have first pick at seating into the tea house. The group size was considered large but was reasonable, and we all sat around a table to view the show.

The tour guide was excellent, able to introduce the characteristics of each attraction and recommend worthwhile restaurants or shops in both Chinese and English. Every place we ate at was delicious, and the overall pace of the trip was perfectly managed.

We had a great time during this tour. We really got the geisha experience. A young geisha explained everything the group asked and performed a dance. In addition, we played a game and went to a shrine.

Mizuki did an amazing job of guiding us through the beautiful art of Geishas/Geikos and also translated all of our questions. Tomitae-San (the Geiko) who performed was very welcoming, informative, and professional.

A beautiful presentation and experience. A great way to learn about a rich tradition, and our guide/translator Ai was incredibly informative, patient and thorough. There was ample time for q&a and we also had the opportunity to play games with the Maiko.

It was a truly eye-opening experience for me to watch a performance like this and also have an opportunity during the Q&A to understand more about the Maiko we met. Rin, the guide, was also super helpful and nice :)
