Passe Turístico de Kyoto e Osaka

It's more economical to go to Kyoto with this than to buy individual tickets, so you can enjoy Osaka & Kyoto to your heart's content. If you're in a group, it's better to check out one by one. If you check out together, it will be difficult to go separately because it can only be used on 1 device.

A useful pass for the local trains which can be redeemed at Sanjo station office in Kyoto. I used the pass to travel to get to the Kibune Shrine in the north of Kyoto. The pass covers trains up to Demachiyanagi station then to Kibune for a pleasant journey. When you get to Kibuneguchi station, get off to pay a ¥250 fee to get the bus to Kibune Shrine for some exploration. Cash needed and the pass won't apply to travel on the bus. Beautiful area late in the afternoon just before the evening falls.

So convenient! You can just scan the QR code to enter the gate and board the train. You can visit Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, and Uji all at once. For one price, you get unlimited rides on Osaka Metro and Kyoto trains. If your itinerary includes several places, it's really good value.

After purchasing this card, I visited Fushimi Inari Shrine, Gion Shijo, Yasaka Shrine, got off at Chushojima Station and walked to the Gekkeikan Okura Sake Museum (admission 600 yen), then got off at Uji Station and walked to Byodo-in Temple (admission 700 yen) all in one day. The last two stops are highly recommended!! It was well worth the ticket price, highly recommended for exploring Kyoto in one day!

Overall, it was a great experience with the pass. It was easy to claim and use; just scan the QR code on one of the 1-3 guard rails at the station. It got a bit confusing because this line had "premium" and limited express seating, which made me wonder if our pass was just the basic one. A quick search revealed that limited express is the general seating. However, the line does get crowded, so depending on the time, you might not get a seat. I did deduct some points because I had a bit of an issue getting into Fushimi Inari Station. I just waited a few minutes and tried scanning again, which then worked.

The Keihan One-Day Pass is incredibly convenient, allowing unlimited rides within a day. You can reach Kyoto from Osaka city in about an hour. Storing the e-ticket on your phone is also very eco-friendly.

If you plan to visit many places around Osaka and Kyoto, this pass is a must-try. I was able to explore a lot without worrying about transportation costs for trains and buses.

The Keihan Sightseeing Pass is very convenient, with quick ticket exchange and easy use, making it ideal for those who want to explore both Kyoto and Uji in one trip. The railway covers the ancient charm of Gion, the mysterious and spectacular Fushimi Inari Shrine with its thousands of torii gates, and the historic Byodo-in Temple in Uji, offering a blend of culture and scenery. If you wish to shop, you can also visit the Kadoma Outlet, making shopping equally convenient. Overall, the transportation is convenient, and the pass offers great value for money for visiting multiple attractions in a day. It is highly recommended for travelers who want to visit multiple Kyoto attractions starting from Osaka.

Suitable for a solo daytrip from Osaka. With this line, Keihan Railway is just across Fushimi Inari and other famous shrines. I was able to use this line to get halal food in the Kyoto area. I redeemed the physical ticket at Yodoyabashi Station office; it can be confusing, so keep following the signs for Keihan Railway.
