Tag benutzt. Empfehlenswert 🫶
I just discovered this through a good friend. The pass was so worth it for the price and number of days. Technically, I just used this for 3 days and I was able to go to Toba, Ise, Iga, and Kyoto. I maximized the perks of this pass. However, this can also be used starting in Osaka.
It's convenient that e-tickets don't require exchange. A year ago, I also bought a Kintetsu 5-day e-ticket, but unfortunately, when I arrived at the station, I couldn't open the ticket at all. In the end, I couldn't use it and had to cancel it, then used my transportation card to buy a physical ticket again at the Kintetsu Nagoya Station ticket office. This time, I originally wanted to buy a physical ticket, but unfortunately, they stopped selling them on March 31, 2025; only e-tickets are available. Every time I want to use it, I have to re-enter and open the ticket, but many smaller stations don't have 5G network, only LTE, so I was very worried about not being able to open the ticket. Although I was able to use it this time, I still prefer physical tickets over e-tickets; I have a slight phobia of using e-tickets.
Third time buying this pass in 2 years coz it is a really good pass, this time at a 20% discount. Strange though that Klook set a deadline to review this by 25 Dec but I wont be using it til later. This trip, plan to use it for travel thru Nagoya, Yokkaichi, Yunoyamaonsen, Nagashima, Kuwana, Matsusaka, etc
This is really helpful if you are trying to save money. However, it might take too much of your time, so you really need to plan well. The pass does not include the limited train, so it is a bit confusing.
Most valued pass! I noticed that the difference is around ¥1,000 without the pass. Nara Park (the deer park) is just across Kintetsu-Nara Station. My trip from Osaka Namba was around an hour, taking the rapid express for fewer stops. The plus point is riding the cable car (tram) to Ikomasanjo Amusement Park. I had my lunch there enjoying the view. Make sure to have internet and phone battery to scan the train pass because you can't screenshot the QR code.
This Kansai trip used the Kintetsu Rail Pass 2-day ticket purchased on KLOOK, and the overall experience was very convenient! The biggest change is that it has now fully switched to electronic QR codes, eliminating the need to queue up for physical tickets as before, saving a lot of valuable travel time. The electronic ticket is easy to use; just open the KLOOK app on your phone to display the QR code for station staff to scan. It's important to note that when using it at the station, the QR code scanner is usually located on the wall next to the manual gate, not at the regular automatic gates. First-time users should pay special attention to this. However, I must remind everyone about a small incident during the Yoshino Mountain itinerary. Since Yoshino Mountain is quite remote, my roaming internet connection was very unstable there, and I couldn't open the QR code on the app when I needed to board the train! What's worse, these QR codes have a countdown timer, so you can't take screenshots in advance for backup. I was quite flustered at the moment, but fortunately, I finally got a network connection and resolved the issue. So, for friends planning to use the Kintetsu electronic rail pass, here's a tip: if you're heading to remote areas like Yoshino Mountain, make sure you have a stable internet connection, or consider preparing a more stable local Japanese SIM card. Despite this small incident, the Kintetsu Rail Pass is still the best choice for independent travel in the Kansai region, especially for travelers planning to visit Nara and Kyoto!
I had this pass for 20% off, so it became cheaper and more economical to reach key tourist spots in Central Japan and the Kansai Region. I started in Nagoya (Aichi), then Mie, Ise-Shima, Nara, Kyoto, and Osaka. I was able to see the best places in each area in 5 days through this pass.
The 5-day Plus Pass is incredibly convenient to use! 😊 However, keep in mind a few important details: you’ll need to top up additional money if you’re riding the limited express trains, and make sure your ticket stays perfectly flat—any bends might cause issues with automatic gates. That said, this pass is an extremely valuable and comprehensive option, and I always make it a point to get one whenever I visit Japan. Personally, I prefer Kintetsu trains over JR. Overall, highly recommended!
