Passe Hankyu

The Hankyu One-Day Pass is more convenient as an e-ticket, eliminating the need to exchange it for a physical ticket at a station office. However, using the QR code can be a bit slow; you need to connect to the internet first, then navigate through two or three screens to display the QR code, which is only valid for 60 seconds. If you activate it too early, you'll have to reload it when queuing to enter the gate. The one-day pass is very practical. This time, we first visited the Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum in Takarazuka, then Nakayama-dera Temple, followed by Kobe in the afternoon to enjoy Kobe beef, stroll through the Ijinkan district, Nankinmachi, and Kobe Port, returning to Osaka in the evening. It was a packed itinerary.

It's very convenient. Just show the QR code at the Hankyu Tourist Info. Center counter at Osaka-Umeda Station (08:00 - 17:00) along with your passport, and you'll receive a 1-Day pass. You might need to allow a little extra time to find the counter. You can also use it to ride the train with the Kyoto Japanese garden theme.

The Hankyu Tourist Pass is a very affordable and worthwhile option to book if you're visiting Osaka and Kyoto. Make sure you plan your trips ahead of time due to the specific stations where the trains stop. In our case, we made use of the pass while we were exploring Kyoto during the Sakura season: - Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station - Close to Nishiki Market (restaurants, cosmetics, thrift stores, and anime figures). - Arashiyama Station - This is closer to the Togetsu-Kyo Bridge and Riverside Park. We relaxed at the park, then we walked north along the bridge to get to Arashiyama proper. From there, we went to the Kameyama Area, Bamboo Forest, and Tenryu-ji Temple. - Osaka-Umeda - We rode the main Hankyu Line going back to Osaka. The Hankyu Umeda Station is near shopping areas like Hep Five.

A really affordable way to travel between Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. I used it one day to travel to Kobe from Osaka to go up Mount Rokko, the second day I used it to travel to Kyoto from Osaka, to go to Aarashiyama.

There are two locations where you can exchange the Hankyu Pass. One is at the Umeda Hankyu Station Tourist Information Center, and the other is at Kyoto Kawaramachi Station. However, this type of pass seems to have already been transformed into a Hankyu Plus Hanshin Pass.

The Hankyu Tourist Pass 2-day pass is an absolute bargain, allowing you to freely explore famous attractions in Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe with ease and convenience. Simply redeem your train ticket at the Hankyu Tourist Information Center using a QR code and your passport with a valid visa stamp. Please note that you must redeem the ticket yourself; no one else can collect it on your behalf.

If you are planning to go to Kyoto and Nara, this pass will be very convenient for you as you can access those places using this pass.

The exchange point can be confusing, making you walk around in circles many times. If you are in Osaka-Umeda, there are scenic train lines running to Kyoto or Kobe on weekends. No reservation is needed, but you should go early to wait because there are many people.

Because I was traveling from Kobe to Kyoto, this ticket was perfect. However, it only covers one specific line. To make the most of it, on the way from Kyoto to Osaka, I deliberately got off at two stations to visit a shrine and have dinner. Overall, it was very convenient.
