JR West Kansai Wide Area Pass

If you're planning to explore the Northern Kansai region, this pass is a must-buy. There are no additional charges for any reserved seats. We used this single pass for our trips to Maizuru, Amanohashidate, Fukuchiyama, Yumura Onsen, Kinosaki Onsen, and Kobe, before returning to Osaka! It's incredibly cost-effective for a two-day trip to Amanohashidate and its surroundings! Price: Excellent value for money. Included transportation services: The two-day pass for Amanohashidate covers all train, boat, and cable car fees for a short period, allowing you to save time and fully explore Amanohashidate. Pass applicability: Usable throughout Northern Kansai, though you might not be able to visit everything. It's most economical to buy it together with the JR 5-day pass. If purchased separately, this 2-day pass costs 3500 yen, in which case I might not buy it.

This is one of the best offers from Klook. For about S$115, I have a 5-Day JR Kansai Wide Area Pass plus Amanohashidate Ine Sightseeing 2 Day Pass. If you intend to visit Amanohashidate and Ine, you must buy the Add-on, for less than S$10 more, which provide unlimited local bus and sightseeing boats rides, Nariaiji Temple + round trip Nariai mountain climbing bus, Kasamatsu Park chairlift/cable car. This will save you a lot of money.

The 12,000¥ ticket, which is 2,639 Thai Baht, can be exchanged for a physical ticket at a machine or JR counter using the voucher and passport. It's very convenient. We exchanged ours with a staff member at Kansai Airport and reserved seats for all 8 trips. The staff member did it quickly (if we had exchanged it ourselves at a machine, it would have taken a long time and we might have missed the train). This pass saved us a lot on travel expenses. We went to Kyoto, Uji, Amanohashidate, Okayama, and Himeji, and also took the Haruka train to and from the airport. It was very worthwhile.

It's convenient to use, you can reserve seats, use it to get to the airport, and even on the Kitty train. You can also use it on the Loop Line in Osaka. Just using it to go to Tottori-Ine-Osaka-Maishima seaside park-airport is already worth it. And buying the 2-day pass for Amanohashidate and Ine is incredibly good value. Unlimited ferry rides, unlimited Ine Bay sightseeing boat rides, unlimited bus rides in Ine, unlimited cable car rides up and down in Ine, and a free bus to the temple on the mountain with free temple entry. It's super worth it. We stayed near the Ine pier, so we took the ferry instead of the bus to the hotel, which only took 12 minutes.

Totally worth it! Exchange at the station was smooth, and the pass paid for itself within the first couple of days. Traveling around Kansai, Kinosaki Onsen, Hemeiji, Kobe, Nara, Osaka, Kyoto, and Amanohashidate was super convenient and hassle-free. Highly recommended!

I used this five-day pass this time. On the first day, I traveled from Kyoto to Amanohashidate. On the third day, I went from Amanohashidate to Kinosaki Onsen, and on the fifth day, I returned from Kinosaki Onsen to Kyoto. The entire journey was very smooth. Additionally, with the Kyoto Amanohashidate Ine Two-Day Pass, I was able to visit all the attractions in Amanohashidate and Ine Funaya, which also included various transportation options. I could even take the special express sightseeing bus from Amanohashidate to Ine. It was incredibly cost-effective and convenient!

This is a pass I always use when traveling long-term in Kansai. This is my second time using it, and I went to places I hadn't visited before. I used JR to visit Wakayama, Shirahama, Okayama, and Kurashiki, as well as nearby areas, so it was very useful! For reference, I booked a hotel in Kobe Sannomiya, which allowed me to travel to both sides!
