とても便利でした。嵯峨から亀岡までの列車を予約しました。嵯峨駅はJR嵯峨嵐山駅のすぐ隣にありますが、移動するには約1分早歩きする必要があります。私たちはオープン車両（窓はありませんが、屋根があります）の5号車を予約しましたが、景色は素晴らしかったです！（より良い景色を見るためには奇数席を予約し、前向きに座ることをお勧めします。ただし、どちらの側にも良い景色があります）。列車は毎時運行しており（02分発、30分戻り）、私たちは10時02分発10時25分着の列車に乗りました。亀岡で1時間過ごした後、11時30分発の列車に乗り、嵐山（嵯峨ではなく）で降りて竹林を散策しました。探索するのにとても素敵なエリアです！

We rode the Sagano Romantic Train before taking the Hozugawa river boat, which was a truly interesting experience. The beautiful train with river views alongside it was absolutely stunning. Highly recommended when visiting Kyoto.

A charming 25-minute scenic ride through Kyoto’s Hozugawa River gorge. A nostalgic, retro-style train offering a slow-paced, moving postcard of mountain and river views. Gorgeous seasonal scenery (cherry blossoms, lush greens, or autumn leaves) and the fresh mountain breeze. Car No. 5 (the open-air "rich car") is a must-book.

Buying tickets online is very convenient. You can board the sightseeing train directly with a QR code, no need to exchange for a physical ticket. However, we mistakenly thought the boarding location for the sightseeing train was near JR Kameoka Station. After getting off at Kameoka Station and not finding the train, we asked a staff member and learned that we needed to alight at JR Umahori Station. So, we re-entered the station and took the train one stop to Umahori Station, then walked to the sightseeing train's Kameoka Station. We almost missed the train. The scenery along the sightseeing train route is beautiful, and the alighting point is the entrance to the bamboo forest, which is very convenient. The bamboo forest is stunning and a great place for photos.

It's also very convenient to change seats or carriages later; you don't need to exchange tickets on-site. Just open the app and scan the barcode when exiting the station. Highly recommended. This small train is well worth riding, highly recommended.

It's really convenient to buy tickets on Klook, and I even got tickets for the open-air carriage No. 5. The Arashiyama Scenic Railway experience was great.

Overall, a worthwhile experience for those looking to enjoy Kyoto’s scenic side.

I had only visited Arashiyama in January, and the Sagano Romantic Train wasn't running then. I saw many recommendations for this route online, so this time I pre-booked tickets. After purchasing the tickets, I still had to go to the official website to select seats. I chose carriage number 5, the Rich Car. If you want to see a more complete view, you must choose an even-numbered seat. The ride itself takes about 20 minutes, and the scenery is actually quite good. It's highly recommended for first-time visitors to Arashiyama.
