Absolutely loved this kimono rental experience 🫶 The kimonos were so pretty with so many beautiful designs to choose from, and the makeup was soft, elegant, and done so nicely ✨ The staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the whole process, which made everything feel comfortable and special. I truly felt so pretty and confident walking around Kyoto in my kimono 💕 Highly recommend!

The store staff speak Japanese, Mandarin, and English. Despite their busy schedule, they are incredibly accommodating and do not rush the kimono selection process. The actual changing process is quick yet very comfortable. I received free hair styling with my lace set due to a Klook promotion, which I was extremely grateful for! The lady who tied my obi sash was a professional and did an excellent job! They provided us with fresh, new tabi socks for the sandals, and we could choose to either discard or keep them afterward! The location is very close to the temples and Gion streets, just a short walk away! They also had a bathroom facility, which was a nice touch! It was busy, but I still felt attended to. I will definitely be returning next time!

Upon arrival, it felt a bit rushed. They showed us other kimono options that cost extra, but I decided to stick with the one I originally picked. Once we chose our outfits, we went into the dressing room. There are 8 hairstyles you can choose from. While we were changing, they opened the door and added another person into the same room without warning us. It's not a big deal for me, but it could feel a little invasive for people who are more conservative, so just something to be aware of. You can rent the kimono until 5 PM. They have a system for belongings. You'll have a small decorative purse to carry essentials like your phone, cash, and lipstick for the day. When you return, they'll bring you back to the dressing room and quickly help you unchange. The photographer was nice. Photos came out great! We walked about 5–10 minutes to different photo spots, and she sent us the pictures via Google Drive the next day.

It's close to Gion, so it's easy to find, and the kimonos are beautiful! I paid a little extra to wear a kimono in a prettier color. I took many beautiful photos, so it was a choice I don't regret!! It was also great that there was a staff member who could speak Korean. Thank you☺️

The staff are friendly and can speak English, but seem more fluent in Mandarin. There are many kimono choices. The photo location is not at the popular Gion photo spots, but in the Yunezen Garden area, which is more private. The photographer has minimal English, but had no problem directing poses. We got many beautiful and memorable photos ❤️

This was a fun experience for my daughter and I to do together. The kimonos were beautiful and it was quite an experience to be dressed by the army of ladies and then to have our hair done. It was wonderful! I understand the pricing and descriptions. We got the lowest price kimono rental and added in the hair (which I had to do in a separate transaction. I thought that was strange.) I don’t know if it was because of the package we bought or because they were fairly busy, or because we didn’t speak Japanese, but I felt a little like I was imposing. I wish that they would have blocked out that time if they were that busy. The girl who did my hair seemed like she had had a bad day. Luckily the girl who did my daughter’s hair was fantastic! My daughter didn’t want to take off the kimono because she loves the hair so much! It was cold and we had worn a base layer. My daughter’s was black. My advice would be to wear a white base layer top if it’s cold!

The store offers a wide variety of kimono styles, with many options to choose from. I've always wanted to experience wearing a Japanese furisode kimono, and I'm very grateful that the staff helped me select a suitable kimono based on my preferred colors. They didn't just leave me to blindly choose on my own. The overall experience was excellent.

Renting a kimono to explore Kiyomizu-dera, Sannenzaka, and Ninenzaka was a decision I absolutely don't regret! 😍 Communication was smooth because there was a staff member who spoke Korean well. When I was overwhelmed by the wide variety of kimonos, they carefully recommended colors and patterns that perfectly suited my image. I was touched by how meticulously they attended to me throughout the dressing process. I also received a simple hair styling that complemented the kimono, and it turned out even more beautifully than I expected! Thanks to their sense of matching each hair ornament to the kimono's colors, I was able to take many perfect photos, even from behind. Thanks to the kind service and beautiful styling, my time in Kyoto became even more special. I highly recommend this to anyone considering kimono rental! 👍

It was really nice to dress up the traditional Japanese way. I had no idea a Kimono had so many layers! My husband and I opted for the "Couple Kimono" option. Most of the prettier looking kimonos are in the expensive package so you can upgrade if you want there. Same with the hairstyles - you get better accessories in the upgraded package. We decided to stick to the existing package and pick a style we liked. We booked the 9 am session (which is when the store opens) so we could choose outfits peacefully. It is easy to find the location. They allow you to keep your belongings there in a big bag and you need to return the kimono before 5/6pm. The staff is very nice and friendly. The footwear (as seen in the picture) is a bit uncomfortable if you are walking for a long time. So I made sure to carry my shoes with me as well in case I needed to switch later - and I did haha. Overall great experience. I recommend it.

I had a free day in Kyoto and booked this kimono rental through Klook. I didn't buy the expensive one online, but when I got to the store, I saw a more expensive one I liked. The staff said it was a high-end design with excellent quality, so I paid the difference. The staff at the store speak both Chinese and English, so communication was seamless. Including the hairstyling, everything was done in less than an hour. Highly recommended!
