Experiência DIY no Museu de Bolo e Pastelaria Kuo Yuan Ye em Taipei

Interesting class to make your own pineapple cake. Recipe makes 10 where 9 will be packed into box and 1 can be enjoyed on the spot. However, baking details were not shared during my session, e.g. to bake how long at what temperature etc. Session includes visiting their museum to learn more on Chinese culture, NT$50 voucher which can be used in their store at Level 1 and a Tea set. At the end, they even have a lucky draw to win their cookies and also capsules to win toys for the kids.

Highly recommend this but you need to book in advance because it sells out weeks in advance. Did the DIY with my kids and they loved it, not just the pineapple cake but also the traditional costumes and the cultural explanations. Food was exceptional!

So viel Spaß beim Backen unserer eigenen Ananaskuchen! Die Anweisungen waren klar und leicht zu befolgen. Der Koch hatte einen Übersetzer, sodass man kein Mandarin sprechen muss, um an der Aktivität teilzunehmen. Unsere Gruppe bestand aus Englisch-, Mandarin-, Koreanisch- und Japanischsprachigen.

Great experience from the moment we stepped into the store. Staff was warm and hospitable and introduced the different Taiwanese customs to us. The museum was interactive, suitable for all ages. The workshop was fun even for a family of 5 adults. This activity easily became our favourite activity of the trip.

Kuo Yuan Ye is located about a five-minute walk straight from Exit 1 of Shilin MRT Station. Once you reach the Kuo Yuan Ye store, take the elevator to the 4th floor, and you'll arrive at the DIY Experience Hall. This experience hall has two floors; the 4th floor is for making pineapple cakes and features an introduction to Taiwanese customs at noon. We spent about 1 hour and 15 minutes making pineapple cakes, followed by a 30-minute tour. Afterwards, we could collect our pineapple cakes and enjoy some snacks. The entire process was a lot of fun. After completing the activity, there was also a lucky draw and a NT$50 coupon for shopping. I really enjoyed this activity.😀

Even a month before the trip, there were no available dates, but luckily, a date opened up during our travel itinerary, so we had a great time! It was a bit challenging for a first-grade girl, so the guardian ended up doing a lot of the work, haha. There was also someone explaining in Korean, so the experience wasn't difficult, and the history explanation while it was baking was quite informative and enjoyable ^^

It was our second time joining this DIY workshop. A very relaxing and fun experience for both adults and children. The participants came from different countries. Highly recommended.
