very lovely tour giving us enough time to explore and we even arrived early back in auckland. Our driver and guide made the trip so much more enjoyable and filled us in on interesting insights along the way, will come back again with family!

A very lovely experience on the whole! Loved both the Waitomo Caves tour and the Hobbiton Movie set tour. All the guides were very clear and professional in their explanation, with drops of humour. Rachel the bus driver and main guide was also very reassuring, responsible and clear in instructions. we saw many lovely free range sheeps and cows along the way. very valuable for money. the coach bus was also comfortable!

Je signale juste que l'expérience de la grotte est mémorable mais non photographiable, alors gérez vos attentes avec cette expérience. Dans l'ensemble, je recommanderais cette excursion !

I highly recommend this tour! It was incredibly comfortable, perfectly organized, and our guide, Anthony, was absolutely fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. The entire experience was educational, enjoyable, and truly satisfying from start to finish.

Such a fantastic experience. Todd from great sights was such a fun and warm guide / driver. The bus was really comfortable and the lunch was delicious. My mom is a vegetarian and we were glad they had a Vegan option! Both places are a must see and we will recommend this tour to our friends and family.

Our tour guide, Todd, was awesome! He gave us a ton of fun facts about NZ on the drives to and from places which made time go by real quick. The Waitomo Caves tour is a must do and Hobbiton is a magical experience, even if you aren’t familiar with the movies or books. Overall very well planned, the tour was on time and we had plenty of time for pictures and to relax and enjoy the scenery. You get really nice views of NZ on the drive too. Definitely worth the day trip!

We first visited the Glowworm Cave, which is a rather special attraction. It's a typical limestone cave with stalactites of various sizes, but these aren't the main highlight of this cave, as there are many other limestone caves in the world that are much more spectacular. What makes it special is that thousands of glowworms hang inside the cave, and their tails emit light to attract prey. So, when we look up from the boat, we see a myriad of twinkling lights, resembling a vast starry sky – it's truly magnificent! However, unlike the fireflies we commonly see that flash on and off, these glowworms are fixed to the rock walls and their light is constantly glowing, which is very magical! After finishing the glowworm cave tour, the next stop was Hobbiton, the filming location for "The Lord of the Rings" movies. It takes about an hour to get from Waitomo to Hobbiton. We first spent an hour browsing the Hobbiton souvenir shopping area, and then took a shuttle bus to visit the movie set. The first scene we saw was the small hill where Gandalf drives his cart through the Shire and greets Frodo at the beginning of the film. Seeing such a small hill in person, it's hard to imagine how it looked like a large hill when filmed – quite amazing! After passing this hill, we entered the Shire, where Hobbit houses are scattered across the hills. They truly resemble the houses in the film. It was here that I saw an apple tree for the first time, and many other plants are cultivated here, indicating that the staff regularly update and maintain them. Next, we arrived at Bilbo Baggins' house, located at the highest point of the hill, with the only artificial tree on its roof (made in Taiwan). Unfortunately, we couldn't go inside. Later, we wound our way down to another, larger house, which we could finally enter and explore. The furniture inside was all handmade and incredibly exquisite and luxurious, definitely worth seeing. Finally, we walked to the Green Dragon Inn at the end for a complimentary beer to conclude our visit. All in all, I was very satisfied with today's tour!

Everything went smoothly from the start. We were picked up at the designated location as scheduled. Our driver, Anthony, is friendly and knowledgeable. He was also very caring and kept reminding not to repeat mistakes made by other guests. The coach was clean and comfortable. Waitamo Cave Tour reminded us of the beauty of Nature. It was quite a moving experience. The lunch box on the coach was surprisingly good. The chicken sandwich must be prepared on the spot and was very yummy. The accompanied salad and mini waffle were also nice. My wife was not familiar with The Lord of The Ring but she was very happy with Hobbiton tour. The guide was a lovely lady from Argentina and she knew The Trilogy inside and out. The movie set was located inside a working farm and the scenery was breathtaking even for me who came from Australia. I recommend to book tours from Klook under one roof and earn loyalty points from various operators

Before soaking in the magic of Hobbiton, our group journeyed to the mesmerizing Waitomo Caves. The transition from the outside world to the exterior cool, dark caves was a thrilling experience. A sense of adventure, we explored the stunning limestone formations and caves. But the highlight of the Waitomo experience was undoubtedly the glowworm grotto. As we drifted silently in our boats through the dark waters, thousands of bioluminescent glowworms illuminated the ceiling like a starry night sky. The magical atmosphere was genuinely surreal, and our guide’s gentle narration added to the overall mood.
