Beitou: Experiência na Fonte Termal Shaoshuai Zen Garden em Taipei

Extremely satisfied! Before coming, I had looked at almost all hotels with private hot spring rooms and felt this one offered great value for money. The hot spring rooms have beautiful scenic views. I highly recommend it to Hong Kong people who like to escape the hustle and bustle. Initially, I was worried about the food quality, but it exceeded expectations; the sandwiches were better than Zhen Fang's! Other sweet pastries were also good, and there was fruit. Drinks were unlimited. In summer, there was also mung bean sago for dessert, and it wasn't overly sweet. The hot spring room was cleaner and better maintained than expected, and the water flow was fast. A lot of effort was put into decorating the entire park, giving it an antique charm. I truly, truly recommend it.

Overall, the environment is acceptable, but the owner has placed too many fake animal decorations in the park, which completely clashes with the style and garden. The hot spring room has a Japanese style, yet there's a European-style angel doll by the faucet... Regarding the set meal, I was very satisfied; the chef's skills are excellent. However, the service lacked refinement; it was too loud and casual. Even though the restaurant was not busy, guests were not allowed to choose their own seats. The service attitude needs improvement.

Built in 1920, Marshal Zen Garden was originally the Shinkao Hotel. In the later period of Japanese rule in Taiwan, it served as a comfort station for Kamikaze pilots before their missions. In the 1960s, Marshal Zhang Xueliang, who was under house arrest by Chiang Kai-shek, also lived in seclusion here. The wooden walls and tiled roofs are hidden among the trees on the mountainside of Beitou. The air here seems to be filled with a faint melancholy, yet when one stands under the nearly century-old wooden eaves and gazes at Mount Guanyin in the distance, there is also a sudden surge of excitement and joy.

The private room was quiet and spacious for 2 people. It was good to have both hot and cold spring water. We thought it would be great if there was a sofa bed for a quick nap after the bath. The afternoon tea set and the varieties of tea available were good.

The environment is comfortable, the hot spring rooms are spacious with both hot and cold springs, the scenery is beautiful, and the service staff are friendly, making you feel right at home. The afternoon tea at Xiao Liu is also abundant and delicious 😋. We will definitely visit again next time.

A very healing and comfortable activity 🧘🏼‍♀️ The environment is so relaxing. Foot bath + 90-minute private hot spring bath, so satisfying. After soaking, I felt so relaxed. Dinner was exquisite and plentiful, and very delicious! Highly recommended!

It's a very exquisite private hot spring. Because I was very tired, I didn't walk up, but took the MRT directly to Beitou Station, and then transferred to a bus that dropped me off right at the entrance. The afternoon tea tasted excellent, especially the savory pastries, which were even better. The entire Zen courtyard is nestled in the mountains, and the environment is incredibly serene, giving off a vibe reminiscent of a Miyazaki fairy tale world. It's perfect for taking photos, and the hot spring is genuinely authentic; after soaking, all my fatigue vanished!

This time, I experienced a foot bath, afternoon tea, and a private hot spring room. I came because of Zhang Xueliang, and I feel the park could add more historical information. I really enjoyed the other three experiences! I spent a very relaxing afternoon in the park, and the afternoon tea was also very lavish. I chose the 'Twilight Romance' time slot, so I got to see the scenery from day to night. The staff were also very friendly!

Tranquil, with a feeling of stealing half a day of leisure from a busy life, a kind of relaxation you can't find in Hong Kong.
