Taipei Beitou Phoenix Pavilion Hot Spring Hotel

This is a hot spring hotel with a slightly rustic charm. For this vacation, I chose to come here for a hot spring bath (not an overnight stay) because I wanted to take my family to visit Geothermal Valley and the Hot Spring Museum. Therefore, I looked for a suitable hot spring hotel along the Beitou Stream. This hotel's hot spring water does not seem to be the green sulfur spring from Geothermal Valley, but rather the white sulfur spring from the Sulfur Creek, so its acidity is lower. Advantages of this hotel: 1. High cost-performance ratio: For the same price, you can rest for 3 hours, whereas other hotels usually offer only 90 minutes of bathing without a resting area. It also provides parking, which is convenient for group travel. 2. Clean environment: Although the decor is relatively simple, the overall cleanliness is decent, showing that effort has been put into tidying and cleaning. Minor drawbacks of this hotel: 1. No regular tap hot water: This might be an issue for some guests with more sensitive skin, and the tap water temperature is quite low. 2. I had a reservation for 4 PM, but it seems the front desk mistakenly recorded it as 2 PM. They thoughtfully called to ask if I still wanted to take a bath. Although it didn't cause any actual problems, this small error by the staff was a slight imperfection. 3. Since the total time is 3 hours, and I would be entering and exiting the hot spring multiple times, plus needing to wash and dry myself, the towels provided by the hotel were a bit insufficient.

The place and room were a bit dated, and the hot spring smelled like egg whites because of the sulfur. However, we really appreciated their hospitality throughout the trip.

I took a trip to Xinbeitou on a weekday afternoon and found the lotus flowers in front of the library in full bloom. It seems we can expect a pond full of lotus flowers in midsummer. Strolling through Beitou Park, watching the flowers and plants sway in the sunlight, I walked along the riverbank to my usual hot spring hotel. Since it wasn't peak season, I could enjoy a full 3-hour soak. The indoor facilities were as clean as ever, the only minor drawback being some slight stains on the old towels.

The hot spring was good and affordable, although the bathtub is a bit small, but for the price, I'm not complaining!

The free shuttle service from Xinbeitou Station was very convenient. The room had a lovely atmosphere, and being able to sit on the tatami mats was very comforting for a Japanese person. The bath had a faucet for hot spring water and another for cold water, allowing me to dilute it to my preferred temperature before soaking. The tub filled up faster than I expected, and I was able to relax thoroughly. A big plus was that in addition to the provided shampoo and body soap, there was also conditioner.

Overall, it's very clean and bright, and the room has no strange odors. Occasionally, I could hear noise from next door while soaking in the hot spring. The water flow was abundant, filled up quickly, and was very hot. The tub was large and quite clean, and there was no dust on the window sills. At this price for 3 hours, it's a great value. I would repurchase again when I want to relax.

This time, my husband and I went to Beitou for a hot spring bath to celebrate my birthday. The tickets we booked at the last minute offered excellent value and convenient service. The check-in process at the front desk was smooth, and we didn't have to wait too long. It was a great experience!

The hotel's exterior is classic, and the front desk staff are friendly and professional, leaving a great first impression. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the hot spring bath is also excellent; 3 hours is more than enough. It's truly wonderful.

A very retro hot spring hotel, very clean and tidy! Three hours of hot spring bathing is really ample, and it's great to be able to cycle through the baths! I recommend everyone to come to this one~

The room was spacious and clean, the bathtub was large, the water flow was fast, and the hot spring water was very hot. The staff were polite, and there was a shuttle bus near the MRT station for pick-up and drop-off. A very good experience.
