Festival de Lanternas Khomloy CAD Chiangmai 2026

This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The massive release of the lanterns plus the fireworks moved me to tears! The food in the buffet was delicious. We were lucky enough that it didn't rain. We got a beautiful full moon.

Such a magical time. The pickup from Payap went fast and smoothly since I arrived at exactly 1 PM. It wasn't confusing, and although the lines were long, they moved quickly (there was a dedicated line for transfers to the actual grounds). The experience itself was magical and truly one of a kind. The food offered was more than enough and very good. I was able to truly experience their culture through their food. Overall, I am satisfied and will definitely repeat my experience.

素晴らしい経験でした。集合場所からイベント会場へのシャトルバスに十分早く乗れて幸運でした。それだけの価値は十分にあります。集合場所には早めに到着し、市内へ戻るシャトルバスを探すためにできるだけ早く出発することをお勧めします。私たちの場合、通常のシャトルバスは駐車場の一番奥にありました。十分に奥まで歩いていくと、赤いソンテウのそばに運転手やスタッフが立っていて、降車場所（私たちの場合はマヤモール/ナイトバザール）を叫んでいました。

The shuttle service starts at 1 PM, but it's recommended to arrive by 12 PM as there are many people and the shuttle flow is not well-organized, leading to long queues. Upon arrival, there will be some snacks available for queuing, but there's no need to rush; you can explore first, as the same snacks will be available later. Dinner areas are divided by ticket price; if your budget allows, it's recommended to buy the most expensive ticket, as different areas offer different performances. When releasing sky lanterns, there's no need to rush. First, take photos of the fireworks and other people's lanterns, and then release yours once you've captured enough shots. If you rush to release your own lantern, the fireworks will be over by the time you want to take pictures! The return journey also has poor organization, with no clear signs indicating which shuttle and return point correspond to each ticket price. Drivers only state where their shuttle is going, and you might not even realize if you board a shuttle for a different ticket price. After boarding, we waited for an hour before departing, and it was already past 11 PM when we returned to the city. Overall, it's a worthwhile experience, and despite some minor imperfections, I have no regrets!

The festival was super cool, and the food was amazingly delicious! 🌕✨ However, the pickup and drop-off shuttle service needs improvement — you really need a lot of patience for it. I hope that in future events, the organizers will have more time to prepare and address the issues that happened in this year’s festival.

Unforgettable experience! There were plenty of free snacks and dinner. Lots of enjoyable shows and activities. And of course, the lanterns. Truly memorable and a once-in-a-lifetime experience 🫶🏻

เทศกาลโคมไฟ CAD นั้นมหัศจรรย์อย่างยิ่ง — เป็นหนึ่งในประสบการณ์ที่น่าทึ่งที่สุดในเชียงใหม่เลยทีเดียว ทันทีที่เราก้าวเข้าไป สถานที่ทั้งหมดให้ความรู้สึกเหนือจริง: โคมไฟนับพันส่องสว่างตัดกับท้องฟ้ายามค่ำคืน แสงไฟอบอุ่นสะท้อนผิวน้ำ และบรรยากาศอันเงียบสงบที่ให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนหลุดออกมาจากความฝัน การจัดการงานเป็นไปอย่างราบรื่นตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบ พนักงานให้ความช่วยเหลือดีเยี่ยม ทุกอย่างมีคำแนะนำที่ชัดเจน และงานทั้งหมดให้ความรู้สึกปลอดภัยและมีการประสานงานที่ดีเยี่ยม แม้จะมีผู้คนจำนวนมาก การปล่อยโคมไฟพร้อมกันเป็นไฮไลท์ — เป็นช่วงเวลาที่สวยงามและเปี่ยมด้วยอารมณ์ การได้เห็นโคมไฟหลายร้อยดวงลอยขึ้นไปพร้อมกันเป็นสิ่งที่ฉันจะไม่มีวันลืม ร้านอาหาร การแสดงทางวัฒนธรรม และสัมผัสแบบดั้งเดิม ล้วนเพิ่มเสน่ห์ให้กับงาน ทำให้มันเป็นมากกว่าแค่การปล่อยโคมไฟ — มันให้ความรู้สึกเหมือนเป็นการเฉลิมฉลองวัฒนธรรมไทย คุ้มค่าทุกวินาทีและทุกบาททุกสตางค์

The shuttle bus is extremely crowded, so be prepared. Although it was the standard plan, there was dirt on every chair, so please be careful. Always check before sitting down! The fireworks display was spectacular. It was very beautiful and powerful, matching perfectly with the lanterns.

It was a very memorable first-time experience. Thousands of sky lanterns in the night sky were so magical. The venue felt like Coachella. However, getting into the provided transportation was somewhat messy and chaotic. It was difficult for the team to control the number of guests. The queue for the provided transportation was just crazy. Furthermore, we booked a VIP ticket and thought dinner would be served, only to realize that the finger foods available were what was served to VIP ticket holders. We were expecting a buffet dinner. Despite the amazing experience, I would say that the price is super expensive. Experience: It was awesome. Location: It was 30 minutes away from Payap University, which was the pick-up point, but we traveled for more than an hour due to traffic. The transportation in general was chaotic.
