Passeio de Barco no Rio Mae Ping em Chiang Mai

Great way to spend a couple of hours that doesn’t require more walking. It was a nice pace along the river and the breeze was welcomed in the heat of the day. The little farm was interesting but it wasn’t really a tour as such as there wasn’t much talking or explaining of things. We bought the package that included lunch and it was delicious and well presented and the ice cream at the end really topped it off.

I didn't expect such an experience! Firstly, I thought there would be many people to form a group, but it turned out to be just my wife and I from the hotel pick-up, truly like a private tour. I originally just wanted to sit on the boat, enjoy the scenery, and look at the riverbanks, simple as that. Secondly, the food was not bad, especially the stir-fried Pad Thai, which was really delicious. There was also water, special drinks, and ice cream, which were all good. The server even asked if we wanted more ice cream. Thirdly, the dining area had a very ancient Thai feel, which was truly unexpected. Overall, I feel it was excellent value for money and worth trying. Also, I saw online that booking through Klook was cheaper than other options, though this doesn't apply to the entire itinerary. I couldn't share all the photos because some were on my camera and couldn't be uploaded to the platform, only the ones on my phone. In short, this itinerary is worth going on.

Great value. Relaxing trip along the river. The Pad Thai and Khao Soi noodles were so yummy. The fruit drink was refreshing and the ice cream was generously sized. Our guide was knowledgeable and had great eyesight, pointing out colourful finches (birds) along the way.

Our family of four recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Mae Ping River Boat Cruise, and it exceeded all expectations. While the tour is designed to accommodate up to nine passengers, it felt more like a private tour as nobody else took up the early morning trip, allowing us to enjoy an intimate and personalized experience. The morning weather was delightfully cool, with no pesky insects, making the ride even more enjoyable. Along the way, we spotted vibrant kingfishers, which was a highlight for nature enthusiasts in our family. The guide was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the river and surrounding areas. A stop at the educational herb garden added an enriching touch to the journey, where we learned about local plants and their uses. Lunch was a true treat – the beautiful location where a Rambo movie was filmed set the perfect backdrop. The meal itself was outstanding: delicious Khao Soi prepared to suit our no-meat diet, served with impressive plating, refreshing juices, and a delightful dessert of ice cream. Overall, the Mae Ping River Boat Cruise is a wonderful mix of relaxation, education, and culinary delight. Highly recommended for families looking for a unique and memorable experience in Chiang Mai!

Excellent boat cruise experience with my family. The boat tour itself was alright, as the boat was clean and well maintained and there were some sights to see along the river. However, the sound system used by the guide was slightly muffled so we unfortunately missed out certain parts of the sharing. The highlight of the trip was the farmer's house visit. The guide shared about the local plants, history of chiang mai and the river and we had a delicious khao soi lunch with a drink and ice cream. Highly recommend!

We took the last tour, and the surroundings were visible until we were picked up and went to eat. However, on the way back, the sun had set, and we couldn't see anything. The Khao Soi was much more delicious than what we had at the hotel. The hotel pick-up and drop-off service was very convenient. There was no explanation while on the boat, and after getting off, only a few trees and plants were explained. It might be a bit bland as a tourist attraction, but it was an interesting new experience.

Als Kaninchenbesitzer waren die Kaninchen die Höhepunkte der Tour. Es lebten 7 Kaninchen in einem Stall am Fluss. Das Essen war auch gut.

It was wonderful! From the boat, we could see various scenes along the riverbanks: people enjoying fishing, children playing in the water, large and magnificent trees, stylish shops, and beautiful mansions, among others. At the Farmhouse, the guide meticulously explained the trees and plants. The Khao Soi was also delicious. The pick-up and drop-off service was smooth.

The boat trip offered views of the scenery on both sides, and the boatman was very enthusiastic in explaining things to us. After disembarking, we visited a unique restaurant that displayed old Thai photos and artifacts, and also had many medicinal herbal plants on display. Afterwards, we ate Khao Soi (Northern Thai curry noodles) with ice cream and drinks at the restaurant. The boatman provided excellent service and hospitality; you could even ask for more food if you wanted. However, I recommend going in the morning as the lighting becomes dim after dark.
