Today's half-day morning experience at New Elephant Home was truly better than expected and highly recommended! Our guide for the tour was Rueang. From the very beginning, he was incredibly friendly and attentive, not only leading us through the itinerary but also sharing a wealth of knowledge about elephants, which we found very enriching. He explained the differences between Asian and African elephants in an easy-to-understand way. We also made elephant vitamins, and he thoughtfully advised us to feed the elephants the vitamins first, and then the bananas and pumpkins later. True enough, when we fed them in batches, one elephant took the vitamin and threw it on the ground, just like a picky child. Throughout the entire trip, Rueang quietly looked after every member of our group. When he saw a good spot for photos, he would proactively help us take pictures, leaving us with many precious family photos. In addition, he showed warm attention to small details, such as reminding everyone to be safe, looking after the elderly and children, and constantly checking on everyone's well-being, making the entire journey very relaxed and enjoyable. The elephants here look healthy and at ease, and the environment is excellent. When we were washing an elephant's face, sometimes it didn't want to cooperate, but the mahout didn't force it. The core philosophy here is to respect and understand elephants, which helped us better appreciate the importance of conservation. Being able to interact with elephants up close was a very meaningful experience. If you're looking for a truly elephant-friendly experience in Chiang Mai, I would unhesitatingly recommend New Elephant Home. Very satisfied~~ The staff here are very enthusiastic, and the elephants also seem very comfortable~~ ❗️You need to book one day in advance on Klook 🈯️ We couldn't book for June 25th because we checked after midnight on June 25th, so we could only book for June 26th. ⌛️We chose the afternoon slot, departing between 11:00-11:30, which was a good time. The staff's English is good, they can speak some key Chinese phrases, and they are very enthusiastic, constantly guiding the process to ensure everyone has a great experience. 🐘First, Ms. Milk (Chinese name Fanghua) greeted us at the entrance and for dinner. She was very kind and even gave us chicken drumsticks 🍗. 👨Later, Guide YU (who looks a lot like Jiang Qiming) led all the elephant interactions. First, he introduced us to some basic characteristics of elephants, like how they are pregnant for two years, which is very tough. After that, we cut sugarcane, made vitamin C balls, fed the elephants, interacted with them, and bathed them. During this, YU enthusiastically helped us take photos and was also eager to learn some Chinese expressions. For example, when the six-year-old male elephant Chouchou (Lucky) kissed us, he asked us how to say "kiss" in Chinese. Overall, the experience was fantastic and very engaging and comfortable 😌.

We really enjoyed this full-day tour in Chiang Mai. Our guide Amy did an absolutely wonderful job throughout the whole trip. She is a young, friendly lady, very patient and thoughtful to everyone in our group. The elephant care experience was meaningful, we got to feed and bathe the elephants in a respectful way, no riding performances. The sticky waterfall (Bua Tong Waterfall) was stunning, climbing the mineral slope was such a fun unique experience. Amy gave us clear instructions for every activity. She always checked on us, reminded us about sun protection and staying safe, especially when we were at the waterfall and bamboo raft. Pick-up from the hotel was on time, the whole schedule was well-arranged without rushing. Overall it was a fantastic day trip. Highly recommend this tour, and big thanks to Amy for making our day so memorable!

I wholeheartedly recommend this Chiang Mai day trip! The entire experience was fantastic, and I must especially praise our guide, Mr. Poppy! Poppy's Chinese is fluent and authentic, making communication completely seamless. He has a witty and humorous personality, constantly sharing local customs and traditions along the way, and meticulously explaining a lot of elephant knowledge. You can tell he genuinely loves animals, and his explanations are vivid and heartfelt. The elephants are gentle and lively, and interacting with them up close is incredibly therapeutic. The feeding and walking processes were particularly healing and made the trip absolutely worthwhile. The afternoon visit to the Sticky Waterfalls was an even bigger surprise; climbing the unique limestone waterfall was so much fun, and playing in the water was super refreshing and stress-relieving. The pace of the full-day itinerary was perfectly arranged, not rushed, and just right. He also proactively helped everyone capture beautiful photos along the way, showing how thoughtful and reliable he is. The overall value for money is excellent. If you're coming to Chiang Mai and want to experience an elephant sanctuary + waterfall, I strongly recommend choosing Poppy as your guide. I'll definitely look for him again on my next visit to Chiang Mai!

The overall arrangement of the activities was reasonable, and the tour guide was very enthusiastic and thoughtful. We first experienced bamboo rafting, and the whole process was very nice; we even saw herds of elephants bathing in the river. Then we went to the elephant camp, where we had a very pleasant time: our elephant home guide led us to feed the elephants, make rice balls for them, and once again get up close with the elephants. The baby elephants were super, super cute and mischievous. We really loved this enthusiastic and lovely guide! We also helped bathe the elephants, which was an unprecedented experience. Afterwards, we went to the Sticky Waterfalls. The water was clear and slightly cool, with only a small section of the current being a bit strong, but the overall experience was very comfortable and not difficult to climb, making it very child-friendly. Me encantó mi experiencia. Era mi primera vez en Tailandia viajando sola. Dum hizo que la experiencia de este tour fuera inolvidable y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudarme a tomar fotos y videos. El itinerario estaba bien organizado y si solo estás aquí unos días, reservar un tour te hará la vida mucho más fácil. Empezamos haciendo rafting y realmente disfruté lo tranquilo que era. Después almorzamos (estilo buffet) antes de comenzar el tour de elefantes. Los elefantes eran increíbles. Son un poco intimidantes debido a su tamaño, pero el personal se aseguró de que no te hicieran daño y puedo decir que también son tratados con cariño. Pudimos alimentarlos, bañarlos y observarlos. La última actividad fue la cascada, donde nos dieron una hora para explorar el parque. Elegí dedicarme a escalar la cascada, ya que me llevó la mayor parte de la hora y, sinceramente, fue más divertido de lo esperado. En general, fue una actividad divertida y un cambio de ritmo si quieres ser un poco más aventurero. ¡Lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

The morning pick-up was very punctual, and the staff diligently confirmed whether we had boarded the car after adding us on WeChat in the morning. Our Chinese tour guide, Poppy, was very humorous and enthusiastic. Fearing the midday sun, she thoughtfully confirmed with us and moved the bamboo rafting to earlier in the morning. During the rafting, there were few trees for shade, so if you're worried about the sun, you can bring a parasol on the raft. Along the way, we could constantly hear birds chirping and insects buzzing in the forest, and we were very lucky to even see elephants strolling in the jungle. The environment at the New Elephant Home is excellent, with many elephants, each having its own name. Our guide, Poppy, explained a lot about elephants, encouraged us to interact with and feed them, and helped every tourist take photos. The mahouts follow the elephants to ensure the safety of visitors. Some elephants are quite playful and will use their trunks to tease tourists. When approaching elephants, it's best to check if they are dry. I went to feed an elephant when it had just come ashore from the water and was still wet, and its muddy trunk and ears splashed mud all over my face 😂. It's truly exciting to get up close and personal with the elephants' leisurely life at the New Elephant Home. The last stop in the afternoon was the Sticky Waterfall. The vegetation there is very dense, and the trees are tall. The naturally formed jungle waterfall landscape is incredibly beautiful and spectacular. Because the waterfall is shaded by trees in the forest and the water is cool and clear, it's generally not very hot. My friend and I climbed the waterfall twice, and it was really fun! This day's experience was excellent, and I highly recommend it if you want to come and play with family and friends!

Our guide and driver, Poppy, picked us up from the hotel right on time. He drove steadily and was very enthusiastic and patient. During the elephant care activity, we got to interact closely with the elephants, learned a lot about them, and he even introduced us to each elephant's name and age. The bamboo rafting was relaxing and enjoyable, and along the way, we saw elephants playing. The Sticky Waterfalls were a unique sight, and those who love playing in the water shouldn't miss it. The timing for each attraction was well-arranged, so we didn't feel rushed. Poppy proactively reminded us about safety precautions and even helped us take photos. The entire trip was smooth, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended!

We chose the half-day private elephant sanctuary tour. A confirmation email was sent the day before, and on the morning of the tour, the guide contacted us via WeChat in advance to inform us of the pick-up time. Our group had only 4 people. Our guide, Satin, was a handsome young man, enthusiastic and responsible. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, he gave us clothes and explained a lot of knowledge about elephants in great detail. Afterwards, he taught us how to cook for and bathe the elephants. In short, it was the best experience in Chiang Mai, allowing us to get up close with the elephants. They seemed very well cared for, and the sanctuary was clean with no unpleasant odors! After the tour, there was also a buffet lunch.
