Hamatoku (濱登久) em Kyoto - Kaiseki Criativo

Because I can't eat shrimp, the chef thoughtfully replaced it with abalone! The environment is truly wonderful! And it's very close to the station, so transportation is convenient. The food quality, apart from the sashimi and fruit, was just average (it felt like all the money went into the ambiance). However, two dishes were truly outstanding. But there were too many dishes, and I was full halfway through the meal.

For the price paid, the quality of the food was not on par. It was good food, but not great food. I'd give it 5 stars for the presentation, but it was just so-so food. Also, the courses didn't connect to each other; random food items were served. Our server was great and very helpful explaining each dish! However, we were charged more for the drinks than what was quoted.

The food was unexpectedly bad to the point that we didn’t eat multiple of the dishes. The whole restaurant was completely empty and we were the only customers. We had to go to a family mart to actually get some edible food. their food looks good but it is awful.

The venue is easy to find. The service is excellent. The food is very delicious, and the presentations are interesting and picturesque. Overall, it's a wonderful Omakase experience.

The location is easy to find, the food is prepared with great care and tastes delicious, the service is very friendly, and they even offered extra rice for the young children, fearing they might not be full. We found this very thoughtful.

We were the only group of guests that day, which felt quite interesting. The proprietress really resembles Annie Liu!

This kaiseki meal truly shows great sincerity. It uses seasonal ingredients that are at their peak, combined with exquisite plating, antique tableware, and detailed explanations from the waitstaff. It was an eye-opening and enriching experience, very much worth the price. The restaurant offers complimentary high-quality sencha (green tea), hojicha (roasted green tea), and plum umeshu. Guests can also order sake at an additional cost, and the quality is excellent. The restaurant is also easy to find, just a 3-minute walk from the JR station.

The kaiseki cuisine was ordinary, and the environment was acceptable.
