Experiência de Observação de Estrelas no Rio Silver no Lago Tekapo

El programa de observación de estrellas fue muy divertido e interesante. El guía fue amable y animado. Tomamos el autobús a un lugar de observación de estrellas, y cuando miramos hacia arriba, el cielo estaba lleno de estrellas. Fue muy hermoso.

It’s an amazing experience! The tour will provide us with information and knowledge about the stars before we admire them ourselves. And we can see the stars and planets through the telescope. It’s really amazing and stunning! We can see the Milky Way in the dark sky and we can also take pictures of the galaxy! It’s a memorable experience.

Excellent experience. From the start to the end of the tour, Wilson consistently prompted us on what to expect next, even on the possibility of inclement weather. Wilson did an amazing job of bringing us through the experience of star gazing.

If you have never been to a star gazing tour then this is the best place to do it! It's amazing! Like a real life planetarium - 360 view all around the sky, on a hill surrounded by nature and the cold weather (cold even in summer) - just use the down jackets they loan you. Pray for good weather and clear skies and no regrets! It's really amazing! You get to look through a telescope as well and a photo taken!

The check-in point is at a souvenir store on the main street of Lake Tekapo. Star visibility depends on the weather and cloud cover at night; the guide will email you if the forecast is poor. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we learned so much about our galaxy. We even managed to see a shooting star. The site is not the observatory where the famous Astro Cafe is located, and we were not given time to take our own photos. Many people in our group brought tripods and left empty-handed.

Absolutely a must-do when in Lake Tekapo, as it's a Dark Sky Reserve. The operator provided long coats, which was so useful as it was an hour of sharing under the stars in the cold! Learned so much about our galaxy and big kudos to our guides Daniel and Willy. No photos to show of the tour as our phones couldn't capture the wonderful view.

We were contemplating whether to spend the money on star gazing but we went ahead and it was really worth it. Our group comprises of 11 people and we were drove up to a open field where there were chairs and a big telescope prepared. It was the first time in my life that I saw the Milky Way and so many stars in the sky. You can tell that the guide is really knowledgeable about the stars. We went around end August and it was definitely a very cold and dark place so beware if you are bringing kids along as they might get scared and cold. We had the best pictures taken there in our entire trip and lovely memories to bring home.

On an educational tour, we even managed to witness the Southern Lights. We enjoyed a fuss-free tour with an eloquent and humorous guide.

We met at the main road and gift shop of Lake Tekapo, so the location was easy to find. Once we arrived, we checked in at the counter and were told to grab the complimentary winter jackets. Afterward, we waited to get on the bus, which took about 5 minutes to reach a farmland. Then the guide explained about the different stars, and we got to see them through the telescope. After an hour, we took a group photo with the Milky Way, which was also complimentary as a soft copy. Overall, clear instructions and a cost-effective tour. Jojo was knowledgeable and friendly. Our group was around 10 people, so we didn't have to wait long for the telescope.
