Fantastic 5.0
An excellent way to spend the day in Bangkok !! Hit up the temples and museums during the day, then try to get on the last roundtrip boat ride. You'll see all the spots during golden hour, then at night when wat arun and the palace is all lit up ✨️ the boats are comfortable and always on time, so no worries there.

meet up time is very early however it made sense since we are better as early birds , not much people at the market. The vehicle is clean and spacious, the guide is good and total experience is great.

Fantastic 5.0
We had a nice canal boat ride today with Mr T. He explained everything and made sure we had a nice time. His instructions were clear on where to meet with pictures. Make sure you read the texts and respond appropriately. The canal boat stopped at one temple where he brought us up to the 5th floor of the pagoda there. We also stopped at Arun temple and had the option to stay there or catch the ferry back to the side we started. I highly recommend this tour but make sure you are able to get on/off a boat which may be moving in different directions due to the water movement. Have fun!

Our tour guide, Tom, was a blast! We enjoyed every second of this trip. We learned a lot from this tour not to mention this is our 2nd trip to Thailand. If ever you're in Bangkok, I recommend booking this!

Fantastic 5.0
So convenient to collect (directions shown by Klook are accurate and up to date). So easy to use and top up (at the station). I collected from Suvarnabhumi Airport so do note that you need to go to BTS station counter to register and activate it (tag card to your passport) in order to do the first top up (notwithstanding the initial THB100) and use it.

Fantastic 5.0
I used the pick-up service at Suvarnabhumi Airport and was very satisfied! The first advantage is time saving and convenience. Even though I arrived late at night (usually 10:00-12:00), when the airport railroad and buses were not running, I was able to meet the driver holding a name sign right after immigration and quickly go to the hotel thanks to the reserved pick-up service. If you reserve in advance through the app or website, you can leave right away without waiting after arriving at the airport. The second advantage is the safe and comfortable vehicles. The vehicles I used (e.g. Toyota midsize or van) were clean and spacious, so there was plenty of room for 23 suitcases and a family of 34. Professional drivers drove safely, and since the companies had strict identity verification (e.g. Wag, Klook), I felt safe even in unfamiliar environments. In particular, app-based services like Grab and Bolt were more reliable because they provided driver information and real-time location tracking. The third advantage is the friendly service and flexibility. Most of the drivers could communicate in English, and they wrote their English names on the pickets so I could find them easily. Suvarnabhumi Airport does not allow vehicles to park right at the entrance, so there may be a 5-10 minute wait, but the staff delivered our luggage and clothing in advance, so the driver came quickly. Depending on the number of people and the amount of luggage, we could choose a car, SUV, or van, and it was convenient because it supports long-distance travel not only in Bangkok but also to Pattaya and Hua Hin. Lastly, it is reasonably priced. Airport taxis cost around 500 baht (about 20,000 won) including toll fees, airport usage fees, and additional carrier fees, but the pick-up service costs 6,001,200 baht, which is similar or cheaper depending on the number of people and the car type. Grab and Bolt are sometimes cheaper, and since you can check the rates in advance, you don’t have to worry about unexpected additional costs. I highly recommend the Suvarnabhumi Airport pick-up service, which made the start of my trip comfortable and safe.

The driver arrived very early, which reassured us. The ride was pleasant, and we arrived in Pattaya very quickly in 1 hour and 40 minutes. I will book again for my return trip. Thank you very much.

What to know before visiting Bangkok

Top Attractions in Bangkok City, Thailand

The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew

When you visit Bangkok, the Grand Palace is a must-see. It’s the city’s most famous landmark, home to Wat Phra Kaew, or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The golden roofs and detailed Thai architecture show Bangkok’s royal history and rich cultural heritage.

Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn)

Across the Chao Phraya River from the Grand Palace, Wat Arun is one of the most beautiful temples in Bangkok. You can climb its tall central tower for amazing city views, especially during sunrise or sunset when the temple glows in the light.

Chatuchak Weekend Market

Shop like a local at Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of Bangkok’s most famous shopping spots. With thousands of stalls, you’ll find clothes, art, plants, and souvenirs. Don’t forget to try the local street food, from mango sticky rice to coconut ice cream.

Khao San Road

For a taste of Bangkok’s nightlife, head to Khao San Road. The street is filled with bars, live music, and food stalls that stay open late. It’s also a nice place to meet other travelers and experience Bangkok’s energetic atmosphere.

Siam Paragon and MBK Center

In Bangkok’s city center, Siam Paragon and MBK Center are two of the largest shopping malls. You’ll find fashion stores, restaurants, and even aquariums inside. It’s the perfect spot to cool off, shop, and enjoy modern Bangkok life.

Tips before visiting Bangkok

1. Stay Connected with an eSIM

Before arriving in Bangkok, set up a Thailand eSIM so you can easily use maps, translation apps, and rideshare services like Grab. You can buy one online before your trip or at Bangkok International Airport. Having internet access makes getting around the Bangkok metropolis much easier.

2. Dress Code at Religious Sites

When visiting Bangkok’s temples, like the Grand Palace or Wat Pho, you must dress modestly. Cover your shoulders and knees, and avoid sleeveless tops or short skirts. Respecting the dress code shows appreciation for Thai culture and local traditions.

3. Greeting Customs

The traditional Thai greeting is the wai, you press your palms together and give a small bow. You’ll often see this gesture when meeting locals or thanking someone in Bangkok. It’s a polite and respectful way to connect with people during your visit.

4. Tipping Practices

Tipping isn’t required in Bangkok, but it’s always appreciated. Leave small change for good service at restaurants, hotels, or taxis. Even a small tip shows gratitude and helps support the friendly service culture in Bangkok.

5. Market Haggling

Shopping at places like Chatuchak Weekend Market or Patpong Night Market is a fun part of visiting Bangkok. Bargaining is normal, so don’t be shy to negotiate politely for a better price.
