Things to do in Chiang Mai Province

The experience was nice! ambience was good, very relaxing and would love to come again. pretty cheap and reasonable price.

This course involves attending a Thai cooking ingredient class at the market, picking and tasting various herbs and ingredients grown in the garden, and then cooking. We are a family of four, so three of us cooked and one observed. The father, son, and daughter enjoyed and enthusiastically participated in the cooking. Later, during the meal, the instructor specially made chicken curry for me because I was observing and helping my young daughter. And with mango sticky rice and Thai milk tea for dessert, it was the best course ever. Highly recommended for travelers who want a passionate instructor and a fun experience.

I genuinely enjoyed the whole experience with my wife. It wasn’t the tourist trap experience that I low key expected. The 4 dishes we cooked were delicious, using raw ingredients. The entire 3 hours on the farm was very well organized. The instructor was engaging and friendly. The grounds were beautiful, we got to see how the ingredients were grown. Highly recommended.

This is once in a lifetime experince! The massive release of the lanterns plus the fireworks moved me in tears! The food in the buffet are delicious. We were lucky enough that it didn't rain. Got a beautiful full moon.

The pick-up driver wore a vest with the word "elephant" on it, which felt very professional. It was also clear what the activity was, and the pick-up was on time. In the afternoon session, you will first learn about the habits and basic introduction of elephants, then feed them bananas and watch them graze freely (very therapeutic). You can also take pictures with them while you're there. Next, you'll make healthy food and feed it to the elephants, and then go to the stream to splash water and apply mud to the elephants. Finally, you'll have lunch. If you're worried about being hungry, you can bring your own snacks. There is also coffee and cookies available on site to eat beforehand. During the activity, staff will be taking pictures from the side. Leave your email at the end of the activity, and you will receive the photos in about two to three days. The staff and environment are very good! There is no forced elephant labor or riding.

This is definitely a tour you have to do if you visit Chiang Mai. At the beginning, I felt a bit lost due to unclear instructions, but as the tour progressed everything became clearer and well explained. The organizers adjusted the logistics to avoid crowds, which allowed us more time and space to enjoy each place at a relaxed pace. The bamboo rafting was a highlight very authentic and felt like moving through the river as a local. Lunch was good, with local food made from natural ingredients (not a lot of variety, but satisfying). The elephant experience was truly special, respectful, and well managed. A lovely extra touch was Mr. Pupp out guide and, who accompanied us during part of the experience and made the day even more memorable. Itinerary: Pick-up from the hotel around 1 PM sharp. The vehicle is air-conditioned and the drive to the park is about 1 hour. After getting off the vehicle, you will be divided into two groups, one with a Mandarin guide and another with an English guide. After placing your personal belongings in a lockable locker, you will change into a Karen traditional shirt. Then, you will receive an explanation of elephant communication language and herbal ball making, after which you can feed the elephants and interact with them for photos (you can ask the guide to help take group photos). Afterwards, you will walk with the elephants in the jungle. At the river, you can apply mud to the elephants and bathe them. After the bath, you will return to the camp for a quick rinse, drink hot tea, and then take the original vehicle to their cafe for refreshments (fried rice, spring rolls, soup, and fruit are available). The cafe is located by the river, with a very relaxing atmosphere. Finally, you will be transported back to your Chiang Mai hotel. Guide: The whole activity is great, the staff are very friendly, and the interaction with the elephants is natural. They do not force the elephants to do anything. In addition, the park also has a baby elephant named Ai Ai, who is not yet three years old, and is very playful and cute.

The safari itself was worth watching and the show was good. Children enjoy it. I recommend you enjoy it more than four hours.
