Our tour guide, M, was very kind and dedicated, switching between Chinese and English to assist everyone in the group. Before the trip, pay close attention to the travel agency's messages. The day before departure, they will send an email with the updated meeting time; the one I received was different from what was initially booked. The car arrived exactly on time. 8:50 AM: Chiang Rai Hot Spring. The foot bath was extremely hot, so I could only dip my feet in briefly. 9:20 AM: Long Neck Village. There's a coffee shop on a hill next to the parking lot, offering distant views. The owner had difficulty communicating in English, so it's best to double-check your order. 11:30 AM - 12:40 PM: White Temple (Wat Rong Khun). It was breathtakingly beautiful, and the route design was very meaningful. Photography is not allowed inside the main hall. 12:50 PM: Lunch. It was a buffet with freshly made noodle soup, various Thai desserts, and sweet fruits. 1:50 PM - 2:30 PM: Blue Temple (Wat Rong Seur Ten). You can take photos with the large Buddha statue inside the Blue Temple. Outside, there's a row of vendors where you can buy souvenirs and snacks. 2:50 PM - 3:30 PM: Black House (Baan Dam Museum). This is an artist's private collection with a unique style. 4:30 PM - 5:40 PM: Golden Triangle Park (optional boat tour for 300 baht per person). We returned to Nimman Road at 10:00 PM, an hour later than the scheduled 9:00 PM. Thankfully, I had brought snacks for the journey. The streetlights along the route were quite spaced out, and the mountain roads were not very smooth, so I recommend that those prone to motion sickness take medication beforehand. Although the tour ended very late, the guide remained energetic and provided excellent service throughout.

Good trip, beautiful temples. There were stops at decent places. Buffet lunch. Mixed feelings about the Long Neck village – a museum with living people. Entrance fee 300 baht. P.S. Be prepared to walk in the heat, bring sunglasses and hats. Also, I didn't always understand our guide's English, but maybe that's just me.

We will email you the exact pickup time a few days before your trip. We chose the 7:00 AM slot, and the new notification was for a 7:20 AM pickup. Although there was no contact information, which made me quite nervous 😓, the car arrived precisely at 7:20 AM! The tour guide was friendly. After confirming our information, we boarded the car. We needed to fill out some forms and provide passport numbers for insurance purposes. We were given a bottle of mineral water and a small snack. The car drove quite fast, so be careful if you get motion sickness! 📍I recommend buying a large bottle of mineral water from 7-11 to stay hydrated during the drive—it's very important!! On the bus, the guide gave a brief overview of the itinerary and history. We were given almost exactly 60 minutes at each attraction. ⬇️ ▪️8:20 AM: Arrive at Chiang Rai Hot Spring ♨️ for a short break. ▪️8:45 AM: Meet up. There's enough time to buy a coffee, a snack, or soak your feet. ❗️The hot spring water is really hot! The restroom costs $5, and toilet paper is provided inside. The restroom facilities are very old, but quite clean. ▪️8:55 AM: Arrive at the Long Neck Karen village. We didn't purchase this part of the tour, but one person in our group did. So, everyone had to wait for them for 40 minutes. You can also add it for $300. The restrooms are clean, free, but even older, and there's no flush valve. There's a large bucket of water inside the restroom for you to scoop and flush the toilet yourself 😂. There's not much to see at the entrance, so you can just rest. ▪️9:35 AM: Meet up and depart. It's about an hour and a half drive to the White Temple. ▪️11:10 AM: Arrive at the White Temple for free time. There's an art exhibition by the White Temple's designer, which closes at 12:00 PM. The guide suggested we go see it first, and it was well worth it! Every piece was surprising and incredibly detailed! I couldn't resist buying postcards 🥰. ▪️12:12 PM: Meet up and walk to the self-service restaurant across the street for a 40-minute meal. The hygiene was a bit concerning... I saw ants crawling in the cilantro at the condiment station, but many other dishes were quite tasty. I highly recommend the noodle soup in the corner! Everyone must order a bowl; it's freshly prepared ❤️ and super delicious 👍❗️The restrooms at the buffet cost money $. ▪️1:00 PM: Meet up and drive 20 minutes to the Blue Temple. The Blue Temple is relatively small but also spectacular! Walking around and taking photos, 40 minutes was a perfect amount of time. The restrooms are free 🆓. ▪️2:00 PM: Meet up and drive to the Black House Museum, arriving at 2:15 PM. As soon as we got off the bus, the guide bought delicious small pineapples 🍍 for everyone, one bag each—so cute! 💖 The museum interior is dark and mysterious, and there are more large black houses outside, which are also worth exploring. However, there are many animal bones and skulls, which are quite frightening... ▪️3:00 PM: Meet up and depart for a long drive. We arrived at a rest stop around ▪️5:00 PM, where we could use the restroom and buy snacks and drinks at the shops. ▪️6:30 PM: Arrive back in the Nimman area 🏠 (The guide mentioned on the way that we would pass Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center, and you could also get off there).

Learned so much about history, culture as well as arts. Yesterday's tour led by Ken is a memorable visit to Chiang Rai. Ken explains the background story of the site we visited, gives us ample time to explore and accommodates the others. My only concern is when we were in Baan Dam Museum, our time was limited and we didn't get to explore the ground properly as we have to get to the last site. Overall I had the best experience and will definitely recommend this trip. Note: Skip the Lanna Cafe and instead do the Baan Dam Museum.

Even though it's over a 3-hour drive from Chiang Mai, I think it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend Tour Guide Wang for his detailed explanations throughout the trip. The Black Temple and White Temple are especially worth spending more time to truly experience. The White Temple's meaning is derived from the journey from hell to heaven, and the depictions of the human world are on the murals behind you after you enter. Since photography isn't allowed once inside, I'm afraid some people might miss them.

Great day tour to the White Temple, Blue Temple (loved the butterfly pea ice cream!), and the Black House Museum. We also stopped by the hot spring and Long Neck Village, which was a nice addition. Our guide, Ken, was knowledgeable and gave clear, detailed explanations throughout the tour. Well organised.

[One-day tour experience of White Temple, Blue Temple and Black Temple] There will be a special car to pick up downstairs of the hotel early in the morning. After picking up tourists in the same group, they will start the itinerary. XD The tour guide is very good at the scenic spot and will help take pictures~ 📍First stop: hot springs, you can soak your feet & buy hot spring eggs. 📍Second stop: White Temple, if you do not meet the dress code, you can rent an apron outside (rental 20 + deposit 100) but it is better to wear beautiful clothes that meet the regulations for taking pictures~ 📍Third stop: lunch is all you can eat. The restaurant is opposite the White Temple. The Thai restaurant has common curry noodles, pork noodles, fried rice and fried noodles. 📍Fourth stop: Blue Temple. The murals in the temple are very dreamy. If you do not meet the dress code when entering the temple, there are free aprons to borrow. 📍The fifth stop: the Black House Museum, which has a stray cat shelter. The cats all wear collars and are super cute. Donate 20 baht to get a small gift and meat paste to feed the cats. On the way back to Chiang Mai, we will stop at a famous product store to use the toilet and try cashews. The time we finally returned to Chiang Mai was around 6pm.

There was a review mentioning uncomfortable seating due to narrow spacing, but as a 175cm, 73kg male, I didn't feel it was cramped. There are a total of 12 seats (3 seats in 4 rows). The small group size meant there wasn't much awkwardness. The group consisted of 2 Koreans, an Indonesian father and daughter, 2 Italian friends, a Singaporean family of 3, and individuals from Germany, Spain, plus a guide (whose nationality was difficult to determine). Perhaps due to a tight schedule, the driving was a bit aggressive, which was slightly disappointing. The itinerary, including Mae Kajan Hot Spring, White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House (Baan Dam Museum), and the giant Guanyin statue, was packed. The buffet at the rest stop across from the White Temple after our visit was delicious. It was fortunate that we finished at the White Temple in the morning, as huge crowds started lining up for entry around noon as we were leaving. I didn't notice it on the way there because we stopped at tourist spots, but the return trip took quite a while, about 4 hours. It was a well-organized trip, including pick-up and drop-off at the hotel. I recommend it.

This tour was exceptionally good value for the money. It was a bit tiring, hot, and exhausting, but looking back, I really made the most of the day and had a fulfilling trip. Since you're not doing this kind of trip every day, I recommend taking a day trip while relaxing in Chiang Mai. There's a 300 baht extra entrance fee for the tribal village in the middle, but if you don't want to participate, you can just relax for about 30 minutes. I chose to participate. Other than that, the hot springs, museum, White Temple, Blue Temple, and Red Temple have entrance fees included, and lunch is also provided. Lunch was better than expected. The White Temple was the highlight, and it was so magnificent that it would be worth visiting Chiang Rai just to see it. However, due to the nature of the tour, the one-hour time limit was a bit short. Be sure to try the coconut ice cream at the Blue Temple, it's not expensive and it's delicious. It's also great for taking pictures! The air conditioning didn't reach the back of the vehicle very well, so it was very hot during the day. Hotel pickup was at 7:20 AM and arrival back at the hotel was after 9 PM. It was a long day.
