After exiting the subway, you scan the QR code at the Shinkansen gate to enter. I chose a seat with luggage space, but once my luggage was placed, the seat couldn't recline. Midway through the journey, an accident occurred: someone was hit by a car on the tracks, turning what should have been a 2.5-hour trip into a 4-hour one. Upon arriving in Tokyo, many people were stuck at the station, as many trains were delayed or canceled.

After taking the Skyliner from the airport to Ueno Station, I transferred to the subway to reach the hotel. I decided last minute to purchase a 2-day pass. This time, I opted for a physical card because the ticket machines at Ueno Station allowed for QR code redemption, making it simple and convenient to use. It was very cost-effective and worthwhile, truly the best transportation pass choice for my trip to Tokyo.

Convenient transportation: Very convenient, right next to Shinjuku Station. Overall, the location is very convenient, clean, and tidy. The only drawback is that you can hear the train noise on the side facing the railway, so light sleepers should be aware of this.
