Transport in Takayama

The bus ticket voucher is very easy to use; you just need to activate it in the bus line and show it to the bus staff. We took it without a reservation; there were bus schedules specifically for that. If the bus fills up, they'll provide another one. The town is beautiful and well worth visiting.

Fast delivery. We received the exchange couple within few days. We went to Nagoya station to exchange the pass and also reserved our seats. We visited Gero, Shirakawago, Kanazawa, Fukui, Tsuruga. We took JR train, express bus and Shinkansen train. Very worth it

It's convenient for a 2-day, 1-night trip to Hirayu and Shinhotaka. The only downside is that it can't be used to book a trip to Kamikochi; you have to buy a separate 2800 yen return bus ticket. It would be best if that were included, so you wouldn't have to buy another ticket. It's convenient to stop in Hirayu, and it's also convenient for Takayama.

If you want comfort then this is the way to go. My husband and I had a very pleasant time during our trip to Shirakawa-go and Takayama. If we are to go again (just for that amazing Hida beef at Hida Takayama 😁), we would definitely book from the same company. Thank you very much.

Hida no Sato is actually not far from the city center, and you can easily buy physical bus tickets at the Takayama Bus Center. Initially, I was worried that so few people would buy this e-ticket that the driver wouldn't recognize it. Fortunately, as expected in Takayama, a popular tourist destination, the driver immediately recognized it and said it was fine. When getting off the bus, all you need to do is show the e-ticket screen.
