All the park staff were very friendly and attentive, especially at the Saido restaurant where I was able to enjoy a gluten-free meal without any issues. It's a shame it was raining, but we still had a great time and the wait times were quite good.

Okay. I felt a bit nauseous after the Harry Potter 4D experience. I was dizzy, but I couldn't miss it. However, I probably won't ride it again next time. Minions was quite fun. I also remember the Jurassic World ride, and Waterworld was memorable; if you sit in the front, you'll get soaked. I waited an hour for the Donkey Kong Express Pass. It seems like you need to go early and have plenty of time. I lost track of time. For food, I had Budae Jjigae outside, and the pizza inside wasn't good. The ice was frozen solid, only five pieces, and it was so hot that the trip was tough. A parasol is a must, and reapply sunscreen frequently. It's probably not great for people who don't like rides; I went because of the kids.

I had planned to get here for sunset but never worked out. Even though it was wet it was a clear view of Osaka on the roof top. I got carried away so didn't get chance to eat a proper meal so was great could get a snack and a sakura ice cream, which was very delicious. To top it off got to wat whilst taking in the view. There is also a souvenir shop and if stamp collecting is part of your trip there is a stamp book in the shop

Osaka Amazing Pass was a game changer for my city exploration. It was incredibly user friendly and easy to navigate. I also saved some time by using the QR code to access the metro (subway), which eliminated the need to charge the pass. Highly recommend getting one!

Abeno Harukas Observatory is a must-visit viewpoint in Osaka. Its impressive height offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the entire city, providing an incredibly open vista. On clear days, you can see for miles, and both daytime and nighttime views have their unique charm, with the night view being particularly stunning as the city lights create a spectacular sea of illumination. The observatory boasts a spacious layout with glass designs that ensure an unobstructed view, making it excellent for photography. It never feels cramped, allowing visitors to stroll and admire the scenery at their leisure. There's also a cafe and seating areas inside, where you can relax and enjoy the high-altitude views. Compared to other observatories, Harukas stands out for its height and superior comfort. Crowd control is also managed quite well, contributing to a very pleasant overall experience. While the ticket price might not be the cheapest, it is definitely worth it. Overall, it's a highly recommended attraction. If you want to see the most beautiful panoramic views of Osaka, this place will certainly not disappoint!

This is well worth it. Beleive me it was a hot day and last thing is having to line up and wait in a massive Queue. This place gets packed. Great thing if u book/make a reservation you skip these lines. It was a great experience they even had spray machines for you on way up to cool yourself down. They also have souvenir shops inside the castle to buy memorabilia. Its quite a massive space to explore and you get a good glimpse of history and the area is just magnificent to be in. You can also pay for boat trip down the river & other excursions. Wonderful experience.

The ferris wheel is a really fun way to take in city views! Located inside the Hep Five building on the 7th floor. We visited as a couple, usually its x4 people to a capsule but as it wasn't super busy they let us in as a pair in our own capsule which was nice!

This is a very worthwhile pass. I bought it during a 50% off promotion. You can choose 3 attractions to visit, or shopping/restaurant discount coupons. I used mine for 1 attraction and 2 shopping discount coupons. The total regular price of these three items was more than double the cost of the pass I purchased. It's also very convenient to use; just scan the QR code to enter the attractions, no need to queue up again to exchange for tickets.

What to know before visiting Osaka

Osaka at a glance: what travellers book and when

Osaka draws visitors mainly for theme parks, attraction passes and observation decks, with historical sites and museums also popular. Booking demand rises and falls through the year, with a clear high season in November and a deep trough in August.

When to visit: crowds vs prices

Klook booking data show November as the peak month for demand and August as the quietest. Prices on Klook actually peak around August and then fall into November, so demand and price move in opposite directions at those extremes. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, consider visiting in November when Klook bookings typically show cheaper activity prices; if you want peak-season atmosphere despite higher demand, plan for November’s lively period—note that August sees lower demand but typically higher prices.

Tips for travellers from Malaysia

Most travellers from Malaysia book activities for Osaka about 12 days in advance, so you can plan a short itinerary without needing to reserve months ahead. For travel in the busiest months named above, try to finalise bookings earlier within that typical window to secure preferred dates, while spontaneous short-notice options remain possible up to about a day before for many activities on Klook.
