Miyako District

It was an absolutely wonderful experience! Our guide, Mashi, enthusiastically took amazing photos and took us to sea turtle spots, Nemo spots, coral and fish swarm spots, and more, which was fantastic 👍 Especially seeing one turtle as soon as we got in and then seeing three at once at the end 😍 I highly recommend it! Haha. He could communicate in English and spoke a little Korean, so it was easy to enjoy. He checked on our condition frequently, so you can enjoy it even if you don't know Japanese! After the experience, he immediately AirDropped the photos, which was great. He took continuous photos, so there were a lot of good ones to choose from haha. I was worried about being cold, but it wasn't cold at all, it was perfect. I think I'll come back to Miyakojima for snorkeling! It's worth it just for this.

I had really high expectations for the Starlight Tour, and it exceeded them! The pickup and drop-off service was convenient because I didn't have to drive on dark roads. 😁 I thought we wouldn't see any coconut crabs, but Guide TEN meticulously searched deep into the forest and found two for us. Guide TEN was humorous and explained everything so well that everyone in our group said they'd want him for all their activities, from snorkeling to jungle tours, if we ever came back! 🤭 This kind of tour really depends on the guide, so I hope others get to meet Guide TEN too. 😀

Yuri was our guide, and honestly, he made the whole experience! Super friendly right from the start, and his energy was so warm and reassuring, especially for beginners like us. We felt completely safe the whole time. We were in a small group, which we really liked, it made everything feel more personal. What really stood out was how hard he worked to get us great photos. He'd dive down several feet, hold his position, and blow these big bubble rings just to frame the shot. The water depth was perfect too, shallow enough that we could hover right over the coral and watch all the fish doing their thing with zero effort. There were other people swimming around, but Yuri made it easy to spot him and regroup whenever we needed. We’re so happy with the experience!

Snorkeling in Miyakojima in winter! And I even met such a pretty and cute turtle ^-^ I was worried about the weather, so I kept hesitating, but I made a last-minute reservation the day before. Thanks to the kind guidance and care, I had a very enjoyable time with my children! They also took really pretty pictures from time to time, so I think it will be a very memorable experience! We made a reservation for four people and went. It seemed like about 6 people were grouped together, and 4 groups were on the boat at the same time. Each group had an instructor assigned, and for those who couldn't swim, they were given a tube attached to a rope and pulled from start to finish :) There were a total of three spots, and the first one was the best. We started at 11:30 AM and returned around 2:30 PM.

Pros: Loved our tour of the Pumpkin Cave. Jumping off the pumpkin into the water fun! Kayaking was nice. Cons: We could not take our camera and had to rely on the photos they took for us. Unfortunately their pictures aren't super great, some turned out ok, but most were grainy. It was crowded. Group after group went into the pumpkin cave.

We encountered rare coconut crabs, hermit crabs, longhorn beetles, stick insects, and large spiders. It's a shame the weather wasn't good today, but we'll come back next time! I'll still choose them; the tour guide was very enthusiastic, and the activities were so much fun. It was a worthwhile trip! John John

We participated in the snorkeling to see sea turtles and SUP activities this time, and it was a lot of fun; everyone had a great time. Although there was a language barrier, our guide Yumi was still very dedicated and tried her best to instruct us with gestures, constantly checking on us. She also took many photos. We were very lucky to see cute sea turtles as soon as we got into the water, as well as coral reefs and beautiful Nemo fish hiding in the anemones. We look forward to coming back with our children next time.

It was windy but worth it. Love the food as well. The staff also gladly took photos when the ship passed by the bridge.
