That's why Sensoji Temple was built nearby in 645, making it the oldest temple in Tokyo and a Shinto shrine dedicated to Kannon. Throughout the year, the temple grounds host exciting events like the Sanja Matsuri festival in May, the Asakusa Samba Carnival in August, and the traditional Hagoita Market, where decorative paddles are sold for a fun game called hanetsuki. Very accomodating Tour Guide. Salute Mr. Ben. Being Multi Lingual speaker is a +++. Easily accessible meet-up Point with a bright orange Flag. On time departure and arrival. He really made sure that we are okay every time. The sledding activity was one of a kind. Beginner friendly. He even gave us all a Mt. Fuji picture souvenir. Thank you Ben!

Such a fun experience! Everything was well organized from departure in Tokyo to the Mt. Fuji Yeti snow area and Konohana Onsen. Everyone enjoyed the snow play and sledding — we all had so much fun. Definitely worth it and highly recommended if you want a fun winter day trip.

We love Sumo and have taken several of these tours, learning something new every time. The walking tour is limited to the area around the arena which is fine because we are eager to enter the venue and watch the bouts. The guides have all been friendly, professional, and informative. The seats tend to be high up on the second floor but the venue is small so the view is good no matter where the seat is located.

An OUTSTANDING experience. The instructors were very knowledgeable and patient. Re-enacting a samurai movie scene was my favorite part! Honestly, the whole experience was. From the moment you walk in you can see the professionalism they deliver (clean facility, clothes, swords, etc. I HIGHLY recommend this experience. The instructors were Kei and Ryu.

An absolutely amazing and authentic experience! Watching the morning training at Takasago Stable was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see sumo up close in its rawest form. The wrestlers' dedication, power, and discipline were incredible to witness — you could feel every collision and hear every breath in the quiet of the keiko-ba. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Tokyo who wants a genuine cultural experience. Worth waking up early for!

Fantastic 5.0
Would definitely recommend this tour. great value for money- small personalised group (ours was only 4 and this is apparently the norm). Even if your a regular race-goer Tokyo racecourse and the Japanese system is totally different and without this tour and our guide we would not have enjoyed, experienced everything, gained such great seats or understood the day as much as we did. it’s also a way to enjoy Tokyo like a local - we were practically the only tourists there!

The tour guide for this group was from Hong Kong. Sheila, our guide, was very thoughtful. She reminded us that the bus ride would be long and advised us to buy food at a convenience store to eat if we got hungry. The trip was very comfortable, and the tour bus was spacious with plenty of room, so it didn't feel crowded. Every 2 to 3 hours, there was a rest stop where we could buy snacks and use the restroom. On the first day, we visited Kamikochi. The itinerary was well-planned, and we got to see all the intended sights. The weather that day was perfect, neither too hot nor too cold. The scenery in Kamikochi is beautiful and well worth a visit; I recommend it to everyone. Our first night's accommodation was a hot spring ryokan in Hakuba Onsen. The buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of food. On the second day, we went to Tateyama Kurobe. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, and the Snow Valley was closed, which gives us a reason to visit again in the future. We returned to Tokyo around 7 PM after the trip concluded. Our guide, Sheila, also recommended some good restaurants to try in Tokyo. We followed her advice and went to a beef tongue restaurant, which was quite tasty. We are very grateful to our guide for providing us with such an enjoyable two-day, one-night trip.

Tips before visiting Tokyo

1. Plan your train routes early

Tokyo has many train lines, so it helps to check routes on Google Maps before heading out. Most places sit within walking distance of a station, making your trip smoother. Keep a prepaid card for faster transfers.

Get your Suica card through Klook before you arrive, which saves time at the station. It’s easy to use for trains, buses, and even small shops around Tokyo, Japan.

2. Wear comfortable shoes

You’ll walk a lot when you visit Tokyo, especially in large areas like Shinjuku City and Shibuya. Streets and attractions are close but still require steady walking.

3. Bring cash for small shops

Many places accept cards, but some food stalls and older shops still prefer cash. Markets you'll visit, like Tsukiji Fish Market or small cafés, may not take cards.

4. Visit popular spots early

Places like Tokyo Tower, Asakusa, and Shibuya Sky get busy as the day goes on. Going early helps you enjoy calmer views and shorter lines. This works well if you're a budget traveler who want more time in each spot.

5. Check the weather before your day trip

Tokyo’s weather changes often, especially during spring and summer. If you plan a day trip to Mount Fuji or parks like Yoyogi Park, look at the forecast first. It helps you plan what to wear and what to bring!
