I love the feeling walking in Geogre town with the traditional dress, it is great cultural experience i ever had. The clothes are new and clean. Staff is there to assist to choose most suitable Kebaya for us and advice to match the colour with the sarong. The hair is beautifully made. The shop is located at level 2 with a Cafe at level 1, we also enjoyed having our coffee.

Punctual, comfortable car, great communication and safe drivers. As an added bonus the operator is a tour company so I was able to easily organise a tour during my stay in Cameron Highlands. Highly recommended

Everything went smoothly for the transfer from Kuantan to KL. The transport provider emailed me and the driver Mr Jaya WhatsApp me one day before the trip. Even though the pickup was scheduled for 12 noon, we saw Mr Jaya’s van parked beside the hotel at 10.30am. Mr Jaya was patient, giving my elderly parents time to slowly board and alight from the van. He was also considerate, stopping twice during the 4.5-hour journey for us to take toilet breaks. He also helped us to load and unload our luggage and bags, and drove carefully, ensuring our safety.

Thank you to JIN for the warm hospitality. He proactively contacted me the day before and accommodated the cruise ship's early arrival (first photo) by arriving early and waiting outside the pier. The pier was very crowded with people and vehicles, but Jin had already sent photos of his outfit for the day, license plate, and parking spot via the app. We quickly met and confirmed each other's identities. Upon learning our main purpose and attractions for this trip, he also gave us itinerary adjustment suggestions to avoid traffic jams, and introduced local attractions, customs, and architecture along the way, giving us rich gains and knowledge. We bought souvenirs, enjoyed the scenery, ate local fruits and ice cream, and strolled through the alleys of Georgetown, successfully spending 4 full hours in Penang.

What to know before visiting George Town

Quick snapshot of George Town and what draws visitors

George Town’s top Klook categories are parks and gardens, theme parks and observation decks, with museums and tours also popular — the booking rhythm shows a clear high point and quieter months through the year. Demand peaks around February while April sees noticeably lower visitor interest, so the city alternates between lively peak periods and much calmer stretches.

When to visit for crowds and prices

Klook booking data shows February as the busiest month and April as the quietest. Prices move independently at times: based on Klook data, May is typically the priciest month while October is usually the cheapest, and prices generally drift down through spring into October before rising again into the northern-hemisphere summer. If you want smaller crowds and lower prices, plan for April through October; if you prefer peak-season atmosphere and the busiest events, aim for February when demand is highest. Note that demand and price don’t always track perfectly — the priciest month is May even though the busiest month is February.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most activities in George Town can be booked very close to arrival — Klook data shows travellers typically book about a day ahead, and many experiences remain available at short notice — so a spontaneous trip is doable. If you’re travelling in February’s peak, consider booking popular parks, theme-park options and observation-deck tickets a bit earlier (around a week) to secure preferred times. Use Klook to compare times and ticket types and lock in what you want while keeping flexibility for the rest of your itinerary.
