Fantastic 5.0
This place is a must if you’re in Hanoi! The staff is incredible thoughtful and polite, specially Ms. Thuy cycy, who gave me lots of suggestions about what I should do regarding my nails. They served me tea and cookies (and asked me if I wanted some more). The space is super clean, well located and relaxing. The 90min massage was the best I’ve ever had. The therapist was very skillful, polite, friendly and all positive adjectives I can’t think of right now. I highly recommend it! I also had my first gel nails and I loved it! 💕 The manicure wad very careful because I told her that my skin is very sensitive and my cuticles normally bleed a lot, she was a cutie! She did an excellent job! I also had a basic pedi because I hadn’t had one for quite a while and the result was great too. 10 out of 10 to the manicure…I couldn’t get her name though. If you’re in doubt where to have a massage in Hanoi just go to Orient and you’ll be pleased with everything they offer! Cheers from a Brazil!

Located right next to Hanoi's St. Joseph's Cathedral, it's easy to find and I arrived without getting lost♫ It's a very clean and tidy spa, and above all, the staff are incredibly kind and I was able to receive treatment with peace of mind even though I don't speak much English♡ The therapist's technique was a perfect 100 points!!! It was so comfortable that I fell asleep and woke up startled by my own loud snoring (lol). I even received an eye pillow as a souvenir at the end♡ It's truly a wonderful spa and an oasis in Hanoi!!! I highly recommend visiting♡♡♡

Fantastic 5.0
Booked a 45 minute Indian upper back/neck massage before I headed to the airport to try to add relax as much as I could before 16 hours of flying. Greeted warmly, offered tea, air conditioning felt wonderful. The same therapist did my facial and massage. She was soft spoken, skilled, and had a solid technique. I really appreciated the Thai techniques she also used by climbing on my back and using her strength from above me, particularly with the knots ambiance: amenities: massage therapist: facilities: service:in my shoulder blades. I left feeling like a million bucks! Highly recommend. Located in Old Town, very affordable, and Klook has great pricing that you can't beat.

Fantastic 5.0
Booked the 120 min aroma spa through klook which is about 30% cheaper than booking thru the spa directly. The spa experience is pleasant and cleanliness is great. They would try to upsell you to a more expensive package when you arrive but we did not change to other plans. They serve you a monk fruit tea and candied lotus seeds on arrival and after the massage. Since our massage is 2 hrs it comes with a free meal with salad, main and a dessert. The drink needs to be ordered separately.

The spa is clean and well maintained. I availed of the 90-minute nourishing head and scalp experience which also includes an elaborate facial. So relaxing! The location is also within the Old Quarter so it's within just walking distance if you're staying in the same area. Make sure to tip the therapist. Standard tip is 100,000 VND.

What to know before visiting Hanoi

Things to Do in Hanoi

Old Quarter

As you walk through Old Quarter, each lane has its own charm! From silk shops and coffee cafés to ancient temples and French colonial buildings. It’s the best place to see how modern Hanoi blends with centuries-old Vietnamese culture.

Hoa Lo Prison

Known as the “Hanoi Hilton,” Hoa Lo Prison Museum tells powerful stories from both the Vietnam war and the French colonial period. You’ll see exhibits, preserved cells, and artifacts that show what life was like for prisoners and revolutionaries.

Temple of Literature

The Temple of Literature is one of Hanoi’s most peaceful and beautiful spots. You'll be able to walk through serene courtyards, ancient stone tablets, and traditional Vietnamese architecture that whisper tales of learning and wisdom.

Hoan Kiem Lake

Right in the heart of Hanoi city, Hoan Kiem Lake is where locals and travelers come to relax, walk, or simply breathe in the city’s energy. Watch the sun rise with morning joggers, or enjoy the glowing red Huc Bridge leading to Ngoc Son Temple at night!

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum

The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Ba Dinh Square is one of the most important landmarks in Hanoi, Vietnam. Here, you can pay your respects to Ho Chi Minh’s body, preserved in a grand marble building that reflects national pride.

Tips before visiting Hanoi

1. Learn to Cross the Street Like a Local

Traffic in Hanoi, Vietnam is wild, as scooters are everywhere and horns are blaring like a symphony! The trick? Walk slowly and steadily, and drivers will move around you. It feels scary at first, but once you master it, you’ll feel like a true Hanoi city pro.

2. Bring Cash and Get Ready to Haggle

Many markets and small shops in Hanoi’s Old Quarter prefer cash, so keep some Vietnamese dong handy. Bargaining is part of the fun here, especially at the local markets and night bazaars.

3. Try Every Street Food You Can Find

Hanoi is a street food paradise, bursting with flavors that’ll make your taste buds dance. Don’t miss bun cha, grilled pork, or a creamy cup of egg coffee from the city’s famous street vendors!

4. Dress Smart for Temples and Landmarks

When visiting sacred sites like the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum or the Temple of Literature, dress respectfully; covered shoulders and knees are a must. Light, comfy clothes work best in the humid weather.

5. Stay Central and Explore on Foot

Book your stay near the city center or Hoan Kiem Lake for easy access to top attractions like the Hanoi Opera House and Ba Dinh Square. Most sights are within walking distance, and getting lost in Hanoi’s French Quarter or Silk Street is half the adventure.
