Fantastic 5.0
The most luxury bus I'd ever had. Extremely clean, new, comfort & spacious seat with massage and reclining function, free wifi, USB charging, a bottle of water & wet tissue. Also well organized bus company with experience drivers and staffs. Pick up & drop off service by van from and to hotels were punctual and well communicated via whatsapp. There were 2 stops for food and toilet breaks. Highly recommended👍👍👍

I had an excellent experience traveling from Hanoi to Sapa with G8 Open Tour. The cabin sleeper bus was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making the long journey much more relaxing than expected. The seats were spacious, and the sleeping cabins provided enough privacy to rest during the trip. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the journey. Boarding was well organized, and the bus departed and arrived on schedule, which made planning the rest of my trip very convenient. The driver handled the mountain roads safely and smoothly, giving passengers confidence throughout the ride. I was also impressed with the overall value for money. The service, comfort, and convenience exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend G8 Open Tour to anyone traveling between Hanoi and Sapa. It is a reliable and comfortable option, and I would happily choose this service again on my next visit to Vietnam. Highly recommended!

There’s something so special about meeting strangers and feeling like old friends by the end of the night. This pub crawl was the perfect blend of great music, hidden gem spots, and amazing vibes. I loved the spontaneous conversations and the effort the hosts put into making sure everyone felt included. 10/10 experience!

Fantastic 5.0
This time, things didn't go very smoothly. We booked a bus for 10:30 PM, but the airport shuttle time was not confirmed with us in advance. We assumed we just needed to be picked up at the agreed location at 10:30 PM. At 9:40 PM, we received a call asking us to wait at the designated spot in 15-20 minutes. We had just ordered our meal, so we rushed to finish dinner. Upon arriving at the meeting point, there was no name card for me, and no one was waiting. After contacting them, we were worried we'd miss the bus. They told us they would arrive in another 15 minutes. After arriving at the shuttle point and checking in, we were informed our bus was at 10:50 PM. So, why did we rush to the shuttle point earlier? We suggest that before boarding, you could inform us when the bus might make a brief stop (even if everyone is sleeping and doesn't get off). Also, it would be helpful to give us an estimated arrival time. We only knew we had arrived when the bus stopped and the staff pulled back our curtains (which was more startling than helpful).

This is a very convenient shuttle service. The driver picked us up at our designated hotel and dropped us off at our designated hotel in Ha Long Bay. With individual seats and premium service, the entire journey was very comfortable, taking about 2.5 hours. It saved us a lot of unnecessary hassle. Highly recommended!

Fantastic 5.0
We didn’t get to experience Hanoi’s famous Train Street, but we did get to ride the actual train that passes through it—and honestly, it was an experience of its own. We were lucky to have our cabin all to ourselves, which made us feel like VIPs throughout the journey. Before boarding, we also enjoyed access to the Sapa Lounge, where we were able to freshen up with a shower. The trip from Sapa to Hanoi was peaceful, comfortable, and relaxing. Although the train takes longer than a sleeper bus or limousine, it’s a great option if you have extra time and prioritize better rest, comfort, and safety. Overall, I highly recommend taking the train, especially if you want a more relaxing and enjoyable travel experience.

Fantastic 5.0
Such a nice and comfortable cabin bus! They provided free wipes and bottled water**, which was a nice little touch, especially for a long ride. The bus also left on time according to their scheduled departure, so we didn’t have to wait too long. The seats were spacious and comfortable enough that we were able to **sleep peacefully throughout the journey Overall, it was a smooth and comfortable ride, and definitely a good option if you’re traveling between cities in Vietnam.

Fantastic 5.0
I used this service twice in total for round-trip transportation between Hanoi and Tam Coc. Initially, I planned to take the train, but I found this service to be ideal during the rainy season when the weather is unpredictable. In both Hanoi and Tam Coc, the process involved being picked up at my accommodation, then transferring to another van at a tourist center-like location, and finally, if necessary, transferring again to be dropped off at my next hotel. The van can change up to three times. (Sometimes no transfer is needed, but the driver always calls out names for transfers, so there's no need to worry about language barriers.) Taking the train would have been difficult, especially in the rain, as I would have needed to use GRAB to get to the station, so the hotel-to-hotel transfer was easy and very helpful.

What to know before visiting Hanoi

Quick snapshot of Hanoi and what to expect

Hanoi is a compact city where tours, events and cultural experiences dominate Klook bookings, with additional demand for zoos, aquariums and massages. Demand cycles through the year—Klook data shows a distinct busy spell in spring and a quieter late-winter dip in late summer.

Best times to visit and how prices move

According to Klook booking data, April is the peak month for demand while August is the quietest. Prices drift up from mid-year into the following June, with July typically the cheapest month and June the priciest based on Klook booking history. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for the quieter months around August and July; for peak-season atmosphere and the liveliest events, visit in April. Demand and prices mostly move separately here: the busiest month (April) does not match the absolute highest prices (June), so you can still find competitive rates outside the very priciest month.

Tips for travellers from Australia

Most travellers from Australia book experiences in Hanoi with a short lead time: typical bookings are made around four days ahead, while early planners tend to book about three weeks out. If your trip is flexible you can comfortably book popular tours and shows a few days before, but in April and other busy periods consider booking earlier to secure specific time slots. Use Klook to compare options and lock in tickets or guided tours once your dates are set.
