I highly recommend the theater performances within the park, especially the mermaid show, which requires an additional fee but is definitely worth seeing.

The guided tour was very detailed. We were so lucky to spot dolphins 🐬 and sperm whales 🐋 this time! A whale watching tour is definitely worth it when you visit Hualien 🕶️.

Even though it was Sunday, it wasn't too crowded, making it easy to explore, and we didn't have to wait long for any of the attractions, which was fantastic. The mermaid show requires an additional purchase, but it's definitely worth seeing. We had a wonderful time participating in all the activities throughout the day. My favorite was the underwater world; it was very relaxing. Although there wasn't a dolphin show, I hope they will be open for viewing in the future.

Our driver and guide, Mr. Wu, was excellent. We saw spinner dolphins, and the tour guide was especially dedicated, making us happy that such adorable creatures exist in the world. Qingshui Cliff is incredibly beautiful, especially on a clear day, but remember to protect yourself from the sun.

We booked a pickup service, and the driver arrived early at the hotel to pick us up. Upon arrival, he guided us to collect our boat tickets and then to a small classroom for a briefing. After the briefing, we set off. On the boat, the guide continuously shared information and taught us methods to alleviate seasickness. Seeing the dolphins was truly breathtaking; we marveled at the wonders of nature. The dolphins swimming around the boat were incredibly impressive. The entire experience, from boarding to disembarking, lasted about 1.5 hours and was absolutely worthwhile.

The cooking experience at "Jialanke Kitchen" was what I was most looking forward to in Hualien! 🌿 My husband and I participated with an American couple, making a group of four. It was a time to learn about traditional Amis cuisine and their appreciation for the local culture and nature. We saw many vegetables that are not found in Japan. Everything was delicious with simple seasoning. For vegetables we didn't recognize, they explained them using Chinese characters. Even though we didn't understand English or Taiwanese, we had a wonderful time. I particularly loved the seasoning called Maqao (Ma-gao), and even after returning to Japan, I use it in everything, including curry, grilled fish, and fried rice. Every time I smell its aroma, I remember Hualien. I hope to see the two of you again.
