Things to do in Hakone Museum of Art

The glass art museum is definitely worth a visit. KLOOK's price is the best among all apps, including in-person purchases, and you can buy tickets on the spot, with e-tickets issued in half a minute! Plus, you can even attend a concert, which is an incredible value! If only Pola and Narukawa Museum had online tickets, I would have bought them all together.

The Open-Air Museum is a very interesting museum with a variety of artworks to appreciate. As it's open-air, it'll be best to bring an umbrella for both rain and sun. Definitely allocate as least 2-3 hours when you visit this. It's a great attraction for kids as well as adults.

We had a great experience with Bek as our driver. He was very accommodating to our requests and was happy to follow our customized itinerary instead of a fixed tour route. There was a small hiccup at the beginning of the day with about a one-hour delay because our original driver became unwell and had to be replaced. While it was an inconvenience, Bek handled the situation professionally and ensured the rest of the trip went smoothly. Our route was exactly as we had planned: from the hotel to Chureito Pagoda, Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchiko, Shiraito Falls, and finally Shibuya. Bek drove safely, was punctual at each stop, and gave us the flexibility to enjoy each location at our own pace. Overall, despite the initial delay, we were very satisfied with the service. Bek’s friendly attitude, flexibility, and professionalism made the trip enjoyable. We would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and accommodating driver in the Mt. Fuji area

We went on a rainy day and this place was like paradise! Both us and the kids had so much fun.

Getting there early at 9am there wasn't any crowds and the station was able to hold our large luggage behind the I formation counter for a small fee of 600 yen since the lockers were too small. The earlier you arrive the better your chance to see Mt. Fuji clearly with the clouds low.

You don't need to exchange your ticket upon arrival; you can go directly to the boarding line. Just show your e-ticket on your phone to the staff, and you can board immediately. Only those wishing to purchase a special room need to queue to buy it first. We were very lucky with the weather that day; Mount Fuji was clearly visible, and the photos turned out beautifully, like a painting.

I really loved having the outdoor hot springs; it was so wonderful! After the hot springs, I relaxed in the relaxation room, even dozing off, then went back to the hot springs again, and it was just fantastic. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and other amenities are all provided. I booked in advance through Klook, which made it affordable! It was also nice to explore the outdoor area on the first floor, as there were some great photo spots.

One of my favorite experiences in Japan! This tour was such a wonderful way to get out of Tokyo and explore the beautiful Hakone and Mount Fuji area. There was so much to see and experience, from the pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi and the Hakone Shrine’s iconic torii gate to the ropeway ride over the volcanic landscape of Owakudani. The scenery throughout the day was absolutely beautiful, and every stop offered something different. Will was a fantastic guide — friendly, upbeat, and very knowledgeable. He shared interesting facts about each place and even made sure to point out the best photo spots so we could capture some great memories. His enthusiasm really added to the experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tokyo. It’s a great way to see some of Japan’s most beautiful sights in one trip, and an experience I’ll remember fondly!
