Gujo Hachiman Castle tours

Nice and relaxing trip. Guide Yuumi was very patient and helpful. Good Japanese lunch. We enjoyed the trip, especially the boat ride where we could catch the full bloom of Sakura.

Our tour guide, Nancy, was very dedicated and attentive to everyone's needs. Even though it was a small group in a mini-bus, she provided commentary in both Chinese and English, ensuring that all members understood the attractions and key photo opportunities. The quality of the tour was excellent.

Visiting the old town of Gujo Hachiman, I discovered that only a few shops were open. After Googling, I found out that most shops are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which was a pity. The itinerary and travel time were well-arranged, and I didn't feel like I was on the bus for too long. The tour guide, Liu Mei, had excellent control over the timing of the itinerary, was friendly and patient with the children, and answered all the tourists' questions. Even during free time, she constantly provided information on messaging apps, making us feel cared for. The driver was very steady, and I didn't feel any discomfort while riding. The driver and guide were an excellent combination. I suggest avoiding Tuesdays and Wednesdays when planning a trip to Gujo Hachiman's old town. Everything else was excellent.

I'm very satisfied with this trip. Our guide and driver, Mr. Ng Lok, was very kind, hospitable, and enthusiastic. The itinerary was well-paced with plenty of time. Traveling in Mr. Ng Lok's car was very comfortable, stable, and quiet. Since my departure day was a weekday, Gujo Hachiman had fewer tourists, making it very peaceful and definitely worth visiting.

Highly recommended if you want to go to Shirakawa-go. Our tour guide was really helpful and patient in answering our questions. He also shares brief history of the place in 3 different languages!!! (Chinese, English, Japanase).The original itinerary was supposed to be Gujo Hachiman-Takayama-Shirakawago but it was so traffic so he decided and recommended to go first to Takayama (to take our lunch)-Shirakawago-Gujo Hachiman. If we follow the original route it will sunset or already dark once we arrived at Shirakawago and I think it was not ideal to take pictures at night.

Our guide was wonderful! We got to visit great spots without almost any crowds!! We LOVED the boat ride, it was the highlight of this trip.

We've waited at the wrong pick up point and thought we won't be able to make it but the driver was kind enough to wait for us. Thanks to him we had a great time at Bokka no Sato.
