Fantastic 5.0
Super fun experience! We started with the lower slope and slowly worked our way up to the higher areas, which was great for beginners. My 6-year-old son had such a great time that he didn’t want to leave! Definitely an activity the whole family can enjoy.

So fun!!! The dune came with many difficulties of slopes and we were lucky that they gave us water as it was hot but windy.

Fantastic 5.0
This is a review of the Port Stephens tour taken on October 3rd with Guide Jae-hyun Sohn. My satisfaction level is the absolute highest. I came alone and actually felt a bit guilty toward my family, friends, and relatives. Even if I have to visit again myself, I will definitely recommend it to them. Not a single moment was wasted; it was a packed day with never a dull moment. I have no idea why the day ended so quickly. From koalas, kangaroos, wombats, quokkas, to wallabies, I was able to fully enjoy quintessential Australian wildlife. On top of that, with countless flocks of sheep seemingly demanding handshakes, I honestly wondered if I had become a superstar in the animal kingdom. I still cannot forget the sensation in my hands. _The dolphin cruise was also amazing. The vivid atmosphere pierced right through my sight and hearing. When the dolphins cried out, my heart raced, too. Relaxing and leaning back on the deck on the way back felt like a truly divine experience. I forgot to pack my portable charger so I don't have photos from the deck, but the return journey felt like watching a voyage from The Odyssey. It was scenery so breathtaking that it made me indulge in the fantasy of whether Matt Damon might have cruised from island to island, reluctant to go home. I wished the time on the deck would pass ever so slowly. The sledding across massive sand dunes that could easily be mistaken for a desert made me think about how wonderful it would have been if I had come just five years younger. It's a shame my physical stamina couldn't keep up with how much fun it was. I vividly remember the boundless energy and happy expressions of the children who joined the tour. Additionally, even though I joined the tour by myself, Guide Jae-hyun Sohn took care of the little details and guided us so that the group members could easily bond with one another. Thanks to him, this tour remains a deeply satisfying memory. This is a review for a tour that is already famous, but makes you think you should hurry up and visit before it gets even more famous. I will wrap up with a strong recommendation.

Such a fun and interesting experience! It was so lovely to be able to pet the stingrays and reef sharks. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and shared lots of interesting information about the sea animals. Definitely a great experience and one of the highlights of our trip!

The tour was soooo good! Our guide was super friendly, shared lots of fun stories throughout the day, and even helped us take photos everywhere we went. The camel riding and sandboarding were definitely the highlights of the trip and one of the best experiences you can have around Sydney. 4 Pines was also great! Lunch was included, and I chose the steak—it was really good. The wine tasting was amazing too. I ended up trying so many different wines that I got a little tipsy lol. Thanks to Shirley, our tour guide!

I was lucky enough to sit on the front of 4WD with amazing views and the driver was very friendly. Fun unlimited sandboarding activity. The 4WDs go back and forth to drop and return so you can leave anytime when you are ready

What to know before visiting Port Stephens

Quick snapshot of Port Stephens and what travellers book

Port Stephens is a coastal getaway known for outdoor experiences, tours and wildlife visits — the busiest bookings on Klook are for Tours, Outdoor & sports activities and Zoos & aquariums. Demand rises and falls through the year, with clear high and low seasons that shape when activities run at their busiest. Activities range from short outdoor excursions to guided tours and family-friendly aquarium visits.

Best months to visit for price and crowd considerations

Klook booking data shows the busiest month is May, while October is the quietest month. Prices drift modestly through the year: past bookings show the priciest month typically in May and the cheapest typically in December, with roughly a mid‑single-digit to low‑double-digit percent gap between them. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for the quieter months around October or December; for peak‑season atmosphere and the widest choice of tours, plan for May. In Port Stephens price and demand rise together around the May peak, so peak months tend to be both busier and a bit more expensive.

Tips for travellers from travellers worldwide

Most visitors book activities about a week ahead on average, with many options still available at short notice and last‑minute bookings possible a day out. If you plan to travel in May, consider booking earlier (several weeks) to secure popular tours; otherwise a flexible, short‑lead itinerary usually works well. Use Klook to compare available tour and outdoor activity options and lock in the experiences that suit your schedule.
