Things to do in Yunnan

The tour was very well arranged, with Tom coordinating everything through WeChat. The driver picked us up early at 6.30am to avoid the crowds. First, we went to pick up the oxygen bottles before proceeding to the first location, blue moon valley, reaching at approximately 7.15-7.30am. En route, we saw huge crowds queuing for tickets. Once we reached blue moon valley, the driver did not follow us in but gave us very detailed instructions on what to do. We also paid for the mini shuttles to bring us around (~40 yuan). After that, we were supposed to meet the driver at the tourist centre but as the rest of my group have not returned, my guide instructed me to head up to the mountain first. Again, he sent specific instructions and the QR code which will be used for the cable car rides and the Lijiang impression performance. Overall, the itinerary was well-planned and there were sufficient time for us to explore the places on our own and the whole process was seamless.

This was my second time visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and this Klook tour made it way better than my first solo trip. The driver was skilled and safe, navigating the winding mountain roads smoothly. The guide took us to a less touristy spot for lunch with amazing local Yunnan dishes—way better than the overpriced restaurants near the entrance. We had plenty of time to explore each spot, no rushed photo ops. Perfect for travelers who want a relaxed day out

had a FANTASTIC time here. the park had lots of thrilling rides for adults and kids too. It is also way bigger than you might think. Went at 3pm yesterday and there wasn't much people so we managed to play everything we wanted by 7.30pm. If you love theme parks, this is the place for you!!!

The whole itinerary is relatively relaxed, but it doesn't lack experiences, making it suitable for traveling with a few close friends. Especially Master Lu Chao, he drove very steadily the whole way and would modify the itinerary according to our requests. The online customer service was also very responsive and provided comprehensive service. Overall, the experience was very good. The first half of the trip was mainly sightseeing. The night in Dukezong Ancient City was particularly flavorful, and the Songzanlin Monastery was also full of mysterious Tibetan Buddhist culture. We also added the Feilai Temple observation deck on a whim and bought our favorite cultural and creative trinkets. The second half of the trip was mainly hiking in forests and national parks, which was a particularly different experience, and it's a good starting point for hiking beginners. Although there are fewer landscapes in winter, taking photos with yaks, feeding squirrels and birds, and the frozen creek are also very beautiful. Overall, the few days of stolen leisure were full of experiences! The accommodations were all high-end, and we basically ate at the hotel, making it a worry-free trip. However, you should keep your oxygen pillow fully charged at all times. If you have a headache or can't sleep, inhale it quickly, after all, an altitude of 3000+ meters is no joke.

Tour guide: When planning the trip, I inquired with several travel companies, specifically asking if they had female guides. Klook recommended Sister Mei to us, saying that customers who had been with her thought she was exceptionally good. So, after comparing several options, we embarked on a five-day, four-night journey with Sister Mei as our driver. Unexpectedly, Sister Mei turned out to be a fantastic guide – patient, meticulous, conscientious, and responsible. She took everyone's feelings into account and took care of us without us having to say much. Sister Mei thoughtfully prepared fruits, snacks, and local delicacies for us. She never rushed us, cared about whether we were warm enough, and demonstrated excellent driving skills on difficult roads. I knew choosing a female driver and female guide wouldn't be a mistake!

Our first time working with Klook was a very smooth experience. Since we were traveling with two 80-year-olds, we had many things to consider, especially since their knees weren't in great shape and we needed to avoid too many stairs. During the itinerary planning, Jiajia patiently optimized the design based on our needs until we were completely satisfied. Our driver, Xiao Zhao, proactively helped us take care of the elders during the tour, slowing down and adjusting the pace to accommodate their physical condition. He recommended delicious and cost-effective food, saving us the trouble of researching food guides. He was very trustworthy. In just a few days, we felt like family. I highly recommend finding Xiao Zhao if you come to Tengchong. He's handsome, kind, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer questions. He is very considerate of his guests and makes you feel right at home.

This tour experience was a perfect 10/10! Our guide and driver, Xiao Hu (Hu Jingjing), was incredibly responsible, enthusiastic, and generous. She even greeted me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers upon arrival. At each attraction, she provided detailed and engaging explanations, giving us a deeper understanding of the local history, culture, and customs. The transportation was also very smooth, and her excellent driving skills ensured our safety. The travel agency's itinerary was well-planned and comprehensive, covering both famous hotspots and unique, lesser-known gems. They also arranged special performances, allowing us to fully appreciate the destination's diverse appeal. The food and accommodations were also quite satisfactory, with clean and comfortable hotels in convenient locations, including a stay at a popular, highly-rated "网红" (internet-famous) hotel 🏨. My friend and I had this roadtrip in the 4th week of November 2025. It was one of the most amazing roadtrips I ever had. We don't even speak Chinese, but brother Cola made it smooth even with the translator app. He is attentive and also good at taking photos. We visited all the places mentioned in the Klook itinerary and also stopped at some viewing platforms along the way. Even play with the snow while taking a break from driving. As for meals, all lunches and dinners were at our own expense, while breakfasts were in the hotel restaurant, a tea/coffee in HalfWay cafe was included. Since it's the 2 of us, brother Cola picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel instead of a random location. The itinerary planner person will let us know the weather, temperature and destination the night before. They will also adjust the plan depending on the situation. However, the executioner is brother Cola, and he will make sure the experience is top-notch. We also love his car! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful vacation here, deeply captivated by the city's beautiful scenery and history. Our accommodations were very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back to visit again.
