🚗 Meeting Time and Location
- Pick-up points: Pick-up and drop-off are available around Lijiang Old Town and near Shuhe Ancient Town. For places around the Old Town where vehicles cannot park or enter, please go to the designated meeting point specified by the driver. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
- The driver will contact you between 20:00 and 22:00 the day before departure to inform you of the specific departure time and address.

- ⛰️ The First Bend of the Yangtze River The Jinsha River flows from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau from north to south, and suddenly turns in Shigu Town, causing the river to form a large vortex. The landform is unique, forming the “First Bend of the Yangtze River”.
- 🌊 Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge Here, the Jinsha River flows very fast, and the river is divided into two by the giant rock “Tiger Leaping Stone” in the center of the river, forming a spectacular scene of turbulent waves and the collision of water and rocks. The spray splashes like a tiger roaring, deafening and allowing tourists to feel the power of nature.
- 🏡 Dukezong Old Town Dukezong Old Town is located in Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is a Tibetan residential group with a history of more than 1,300 years. It contains two meanings in Tibetan, one is “castle built on stone” and the other is “Moonlight City”.
- ✨ Prayer Wheel The Dukezong Old Town Prayer Wheel is the largest and heaviest gilded pure copper prayer wheel in the world. The prayer wheel is 21 meters high and weighs more than 60 tons. Its huge volume gives a strong visual impact. From a distance, the golden figure points directly to the sky, which is very spectacular.
- ☀️ Songzanlin Monastery Songzanlin Monastery is located in Shangri-La City, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan Province and enjoys the reputation of “Little Potala Palace” and “Tibetan Art Museum”.
- ⛺ Napa Sea Napa Sea is called “Napa Lake” in Tibetan, which means “lake next to the forest”. It is a plateau seasonal lake and marsh meadow.

A must-visit when in Yunnan! In my opinion, joining a day trip like this is enough to explore Shangri-La and experience the Tibetan vibes. At Tiger Leaping Gorge (TLG), you can choose to take the stairs or an escalator for 70 RMB, and at Napahai, you can go horseback riding for 160 RMB, which includes a costume. Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-La, and Songzanlin Monastery were all great. The ethnic dance and performance I saw while having lunch after the Dukezong and Buckwheat Fields tour were especially impressive.

didn't bring us to view yangtze bend which is mentioned in yr advertisement. driver said impossible to view due to tight schedule. you should not advertise this to confuse customer if you can't fulfill. this is not.good and disappointing
Had to chase them for pickup time. driver had zero English and we had no idea what was going on even with translation app. Rushed through everything. Took non-toll route, so returned at 7pm. If we hadn’t insisted he buy tickets to monastery we would’ve missed it completely. He wanted to just drop us off and for us to buy tickets and get coach to monastery - which would’ve taken an hour. He bought tickets and dropped us off at Monastery for 1 hour “playtime.” But wanted to keep the tickets he had bought for us. We insisted he hand them over - luckily because they were required at entrance. The minibus then stopped to pickup other passengers for the return 3 1/2 hr (!) journey in a non air conditioned mini van on a winding road at speed. I recommend you catch train to Shangri La and use didi’s for the day. Do Tiger Leaping Gorge in a seperate trip. Both are worth seeing.
The coordinator was helpful in arranging a taxi for our early 6am pickup, which we appreciated. However, the overall tour was poorly managed. The bus had exactly the number of seats for passengers, and because we were the last to board, only single seats were left. As we were traveling with a 6-year-old, he couldn’t sit alone, so I had to carry him on my lap for most of the 15-hour trip. The itinerary stated 6am–6pm, but we only returned around 9pm, which was a major disruption. For the monastery visit, the driver/guide didn’t accompany us and instead asked one of the guests to lead the group and handle ticket payments, leaving us confused and to figure everything out ourselves. Lastly, the Napa Sea stop felt like a sales push — we were encouraged to pay RMB60 per person for a boat ride that lasted about 5 minutes and barely left the dock, which wasn’t worth it. Overall, not a good experience and I wouldn’t recommend this tour, especially for families with young children.

Good to know
- The times indicated in the itinerary are for reference only, and the specific arrangements are subject to the actual tour situation on the day; the itinerary is subject to changes and adjustments due to climate, road conditions, holidays, traffic arrival and departure times, scenic area queues and controls, tourists themselves, force majeure, and other factors. - Dukezong Ancient City and Songzanlin Monastery are alternative routes. Different itineraries are arranged according to the different package options ordered.
- If tourists voluntarily leave the group or change the itinerary midway due to their own reasons, it will be regarded as an automatic abandonment, and the travel agency will not be able to refund any fees. The tourists shall bear any other expenses and safety issues arising therefrom.
- The weather in the plateau area changes rapidly. The driver will adjust the order of visiting the scenic spots according to the actual situation without reducing the number of scenic spots visited!
- During the rainy season, Napa Hai floods the Yila Grassland, and the Ring Lake Road may be flooded. If the road is flooded, it will not be possible to circle the lake, but you can see the water road. Please understand!
- Each scenic spot has a shopping area, which is a basic commercial facility for the scenic spot and is not a designated shopping store by the travel agency. Please carefully identify, choose carefully, and consume rationally.
