Things to do in Chiang Mai Province

Rueang was our guide and he was very good at communicating the night before our excursion with items to bring and when to meet. He gave us a very detailed itinerary of the day and was very attentive with our questions. The elephant trip was so fun and I learned alot about the Thailand species. The bamboo rafting was peaceful and beautiful. I really enjoyed the sticky waterfall and climbing up it. I would say this a must do excursion if you have an open day in Chiang Mai. We'll done Rueang! Grandma's kitchen is very large, and the entire property is beautifully decorated, making it great for taking photos. You could say it's a small trendy photo spot. There are multiple classes going on at the same time, but each area is so well organized that they don't disturb each other at all. The instructor explains everything in Chinese throughout the session, making communication very easy. The class is not just about learning how to cook; it starts with a tour of the garden to introduce various herbs and plants, helping us understand common ingredients used in Thai cuisine, which is very interesting. This time, we learned to make Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, and Khao Soi (Northern Thai curry noodles). Every dish is taught step-by-step, and there is a great sense of accomplishment after making it yourself. Free drinking water, a specialty drink, and mango sticky rice are also provided on-site, offering a very generous experience. Most importantly, you have to eat everything you cook at the end 😂 So if you're taking the morning class, I really recommend eating a light breakfast and saving room! Overall, it's a complete experience with a beautiful environment and an instructor who speaks great Chinese. You get to learn Thai cooking while understanding local herbs and food culture. Very good, and the price is also very affordable. When you arrive, they first give you a cup of herbal tea, then the massage goes from your back to your legs, then to the front, and finally to your head. The massage therapist's skills are excellent. I highly recommend Kate (I think that's her name). Highly recommended, absolutely flawless.

Four coaches for nine participants is quite good. Jacky, who I met this time, was enthusiastic and made sure I had a great time even though I was traveling alone. Before you depart, you can pay their accompanying photographer $300 per person, and at the end, they'll give you some photos and videos. You can also tell the photographer along the way if you'd like to take pictures.

My first ever massage, and this place offers great value for money! Every minute of the 60-minute session was well spent; every nerve felt relaxed. The technique was truly excellent and very thorough! It was so wonderful to get a massage after a tiring shopping trip! They even offered tea and snacks afterward! Both the service and the environment were very good, and the price was really a bargain!!

The cooking class experience was excellent. The market tour guide explained everything very clearly, and our instructor, Mai, was great at creating a fun atmosphere, so everyone had a wonderful time. The food portions were very generous; I recommend bringing a food container to take the dessert back to your hotel to enjoy at your leisure. Also, it's definitely worth paying extra for the air-conditioned room because there are mosquitoes outdoors, and it gets a bit warm after cooking. Enjoying the food in an air-conditioned room is the smart choice! The only downside was that the transfer vehicle didn't have air conditioning, and the staff kept taking photos of us but never shared them. I tried contacting them via email and Facebook Messenger, but received no response. I had assumed that since the staff were taking so many pictures, I didn't need to take many of my family for souvenirs, and now I regret not having those photos. It's a real shame that I can't retrieve them!

I bought tickets on Klook for the Muay Thai fight starting at 9:00 PM. My energy level was similar to watching a Barcelona Champions League match, constantly nodding off. Before the fight, everyone stands for the Thai national anthem. Those who purchased VIP seats can take photos with the fighters before the match. The fight usually ends around 11:00 PM.
