Doi Inthanon National Park Full Day Tour in Chiang Mai

Nui and our driver Mr James were exceptional. I booked this tour the day before with my partner, we got a shared tour with another couple and one solo traveller. They picked us up across from Thapae gate. We drove about an hour before a brief rest stop, then onto a beautiful waterfall. The amount of mist and spray coming off was incredible but quite slippery so make sure you wear proper shoes. From there Nui and James took us to a Karen village for Tea and Coffee, which was very tasty. A brief moment to shop some souvenirs if you wished but nothing felt forced at all. We then had a nice lunch before continuing onto the summit. The cloud jungle is breathtaking, moss all over the trees and birds off in the bushes. Traveling back down we arrived at the twin pagodas. Nui provided some very insightful commentary into the Buddhist imagery. The views from here down into the valley below is one of the best landscapes I’ve ever seen. Thankyou to Nui and James for being insightful and funny.

Boom was a delightful guide, passionate, funny and informative. I didn't get our driver's name but he certainly got us everywhere quickly and smoothly. The locations visited were beautiful, varied and interesting. The White Karen village visit felt authentic, not touristy. A good itinerary and length of time for a day tour.

One of our favorite excursions that we took while in Thailand. Cati, our guide, made the experience light with her humor. She was also very knowledgeable! the waterfall, national forest trail and Karon coffee village were all great, but the highlight is definitely the twin pagodas. so much detail and so opulent! simply amazing! would recommend.

We had a great time on this tour! Our guide, Nana, was incredibly helpful, friendly, and informative throughout the day. Our driver, Bank, also did an excellent job getting us safely and efficiently to each destination. Since it’s the rainy season, the views were quite misty, so we weren’t able to fully enjoy some of the scenery. However, the Wachirathan Waterfall was absolutely stunning in person and was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The village visit was also very interesting. We got to see the local ladies weaving, which was a wonderful cultural experience. We especially enjoyed the free coffee and tea tasting, and everything we tried was delicious! The flowers around the pagoda were beautiful as well and added to the charm of the visit. Overall, this tour is perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing day with just the right amount of adventure. Highly recommended!

the tour is well planned and the guide ,tom tam, is very meticulous and knowledgeable. you get to explore various spots in the national park. highly recommended.

I had a great time. After contacting the tour guide Nana, the van came directly to my hotel. We saw beautiful nature, impressive waterfall, cool rainforest, pagodas, ate a tasty meal and drank good local grown coffee in a small village.

This was a really special experience. A small group of nine. Great driver and fantastic guide. This tour is the best way to see Doi Inthanon National Park in a day. The walk through the park across the boardwalk was easy and the wachirathan waterfall was magnificent. Our guide was fun and informative. It rained while in the park but cleared up just in time to take some photos of the magnificent king and queen pagodas. Lunch was at a family run restaurant. I had a sweet and sour vegetarian dish. It was delicious and one of the best dishes I have had in Thailand. Afterwards we were taken to a village tribe (the karen tribe but not the long necks) to try coffee and have a casual walk around. The people living there went around their daily business. There was no hard sell with coffee or items from the shop. I bought three candles and a scarf because I really liked them. We saw rice fields in the village as well as mango trees. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We went on the tour with guide Nana and driver Bank, who took care of us very well throughout the 10-hour trip. The transport was comfortable and safe, and our driver was skilful on the windy and steep mountain roads. The itinerary was very well designed, with enough time at each location: 30 min at Wachirathan waterfall, 40 min on a short trail in Doi Inthanon National Park, 1 hour at the pagodas, 1 hour for lunch and 1 hour at the Karen village. We were blessed with great weather despite us visiting during the rainy season, and the mountain peak was cold and windy at 11 degrees Celcius. Lunch was delicious, and Guide Nana brought us to a local restaurant with the option to order ala carte or unlimited set meal for 4 at 150 baht per person. Guide Nana is very knowledgeable and well-spoken, and she was able to convey the symbolic history of each place clearly. This tour with Tripguru is fantastic and well worth the price.
