Highly recommended for those who like nature and waterfalls. Went in mid Feb. Pickup as scheduled. The journey was about 2 hrs from Chiang mai city to the peak of Doi Inthanon. It was cold in the morning at 4deg cel. Not much view at the peak cos it is forested. Took a photo with the signage indicating the highest peak in Thailand and walked among the nature to appreciate greenery and the cool fresh air. Next was visit to King and Queen's Chedis. The imposing stupas are impressive with paranomic view of the mountain ranges. Beautiful gardens by the side of the stupas. Next visit was to Sirithan and Wachirathan waterfalls. Wachirathan waterfall is standing at 7-8 storey high. Beautiful. Weather was hot in the mid day. Lunch was near Wachirathan waterfalls. Delicious, especially the omelette. Last visit was a visit to Karen hill tribe. To appreciate their way of living. Overall, this was a great day trip activity. 👍🏻
There was plenty to see and do and we had enough time to enjoy each location.
nice tour. waterfall was wonderfull and weather is cooling at the peak
Our tour have 10pax, by the time leave chiangmai was already 8plus. Lunch was better this time compare to chiangrai tour. Chicken is tasty, but don't expect much. Had fresh strawberries from high mountain when we hit one of the waterfall where there's cafe. Near the place we have our lunch. Unfortunately, our van broke down, nearly caught fire. So we faster get out of the van. Got stuck at mountain for 2 hours for rescue van. Lucky we got enough snacks along the tour to munch on. It was 8 degree at top, so pls bring enough to wear. It's quite late when we reach the top, therefore it's too cloudy, can't see much view by then. Good thing, manage to get my coffee powder at karen village, very nice coffee. Can get a cup to try at 30baht. Overall, an experience.
The tour guide and van driver were great with patience.. tour gourde ( don't know her name) had good humour during the tour. We had been waiting almost 40 minutes at our hotel to pick up. It were only 11 guests in this tour.. should not wait so long.
