This was my first time visiting for the lunch buffet since the restaurant renovation, and it was for a friend's birthday. The food quality was very high, with oysters, king crab legs, sashimi, chilled shrimp, and chilled conch available. While the variety wasn't extensive, freshness was paramount. It was a shame that on a Saturday, the restaurant was only about half full; I hope business improves in the future. The biggest surprise was the bar staff, who made specialty drinks for guests on the spot. Besides regular coffee or tea, she could also prepare iced lattes (no ice, no sugar) or coffee tonics. My friends and I were all very happy, eating and chatting slowly from 12 PM to 2:30 PM. It was a great weekend activity, and I highly recommend everyone try it!

From the location and service to the food quality, everything completely exceeded my expectations! Excellent and Convenient Location 📍 The restaurant is located in Eaton HK, which is very convenient. It's just a short walk from the bus stop or MTR station, making it incredibly accessible. The restaurant's overall design is very distinctive, blending a nostalgic, retro cinematic feel with modern, stylish comfort. The moment you step inside, you feel relaxed and happy. Impeccable Staff Service 💯 I especially want to commend the service attitude of all the front-line staff that day! From the hosts seating guests, to the plate clearers, and the chefs at each food station, everyone was smiling, polite, and attentive. Plates were cleared very quickly and efficiently, never allowing empty dishes to pile up on the table. They were constantly attentive to guests' needs, making everyone feel truly welcome and well-cared for. Exceptionally High-Quality Seafood & Food 🦀 What impressed me most was the abundance and quality of the food! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and cold dishes like oysters and bread crabs were replenished extremely quickly; I never saw an empty platter. The hot food selection was diverse, and whether it was roasted beef, roasted lamb leg, flavorful cooked dishes, or delicate dim sum, the seasoning was perfect. You could really feel the dedication of the culinary team. The dessert section was the perfect ending, with a wide selection of ice cream and various exquisite mini cakes, all of which were on par with high-end dessert shops. In summary: The Astor demonstrates exceptionally high standards in terms of ambiance, service, and food, offering excellent value for money. This is definitely a dining experience that makes you want to return again. I highly recommend it to all friends who appreciate great food and excellent service!

The hotel's Japanese robatayaki offers a wide variety of food options, with over thirty items available for all-you-can-eat. The overall taste is quite good. The standout dishes are the grilled beef (all-you-can-eat) and the pineapple sorbet (one serving per person). You can dine from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM, which is plenty of time, and it also includes one non-alcoholic drink. The staff are friendly and polite, constantly refilling tea and changing plates. It's truly satisfying to enjoy such a great value lunch on a weekend!

This time, we booked the dinner buffet for a birthday celebration. The last time I visited was three years ago for the lunch buffet. While the variety of food isn't extensive, the quality is excellent. I'm grateful to the restaurant for arranging a window seat for us this time; the view was lovely. The evening atmosphere is much better than during the day. There weren't too many diners, and everyone was very orderly when getting food, allowing us to enjoy our meal in a quiet and comfortable environment. 👍🏻 A special mention goes to the attentive staff who constantly checked if any plates needed to be cleared. They even prepared a small cake and took photos of us with the night view from the window sill. 🙂 The theme of this buffet was Japanese cuisine, featuring dishes like sukiyaki and caviar wagyu sushi, which suited my current preference for lighter meals. Additionally, the ginseng chicken soup had a strong ginseng flavor without being too overpowering; I had three extra servings! The desserts were decent, and there was a good selection of homemade gelato flavors. One highlight was the unique baked goods; I even made my own mini pineapple bun. 🤭

I've been to Tsui Yuen at New Town Plaza in Sha Tin twice recently for dim sum. The dim sum is usually quite good, so I bought a coupon when I saw a Klook offer. I arrived around 10:30 AM on June 6th, and the staff were very nice. Even though I was early, they quickly seated me. However, the dim sum that day was very disappointing. The fried items weren't hot enough; they seemed like they had been sitting for a while. The skin was dry and soft, not crispy. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) and siu mai (pork dumplings) were even worse. They tasted like frozen, pre-made dim sum bought from a supermarket. The siu mai also had a very strong MSG flavor. I wondered if the dim sum for Klook customers was pre-made. I asked a server, who said the kitchen doesn't differentiate between Klook customers and regular diners. But it was very strange; the dim sum that day didn't taste like what I usually have there. Despite this, the restaurant staff were very polite.

The buffet restaurant offers beautiful sea views and comfortable seating, with a reasonable variety of food. However, the hot soup dishes were disappointingly cold, not hot. The male staff member who cleared plates and served ice cream and desserts had an excellent attitude. A major drawback, though, was that precisely at 9:30 PM, when the buffet was scheduled to end, most of the chefs and staff collectively made loud, clanging metal kitchenware and cutlery noises that everyone in the restaurant could hear! This method of clearing metal utensils and rapidly removing food made it seem as if guests were not allowed to stay even one second longer! It was quite startling and embarrassing for customers, almost as if they were being rushed out. All the guests, including a foreign family of three who had arrived late and only had an hour to dine, quickly got up and left the restaurant with me and other patrons. In all my years of frequently enjoying buffets at various hotels in Hong Kong, I have never encountered a hotel restaurant where, precisely at closing time, most of the chefs would display displeasure and deliberately create loud metallic noises, subtly hinting for guests to leave quickly. This was a rare and unsettling experience! Adding to this unpleasant experience, there was a huge, terrifying painting at the restaurant entrance when I left. The painting had a dark, somber tone, depicting only two expressionless men and a child staring directly at you, with terrifying, bottomless black eyes and no whites. It was incredibly eerie and disturbing! No wonder I had previously seen comments from guests saying their seats were in front of this giant painting. I couldn't understand why such a terrifying and unsettling painting of men and a child would be displayed at the entrance of a five-star hotel's high-end restaurant. Seeing this horrifying painting as I left only deepened the unpleasantness of this buffet experience!

I've always wanted to bring my husband to Felix for the experience. Many years ago, my sister and I came here for drinks, and at the time, I felt the place was quite dark and not as beautiful as I'd imagined. My memory might be a bit hazy now, so this time I specifically came with my husband to celebrate my birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. As soon as we entered the hotel lobby, the lobby manager escorted us directly to the elevator up to the restaurant, and then arranged a window seat for us, which was very thoughtful. Although I specifically called ahead to arrange it, the hotel did their best to accommodate my request, so I was very satisfied. As for the food, it was, of course, exceptional. The seafood in the seafood tower was very fresh. The dish that truly amazed me was the hot appetizer—the duck breast. The skin was crispy, and the meat inside was tender, almost like eating roast goose, not at all like the dry texture usually associated with duck breast. It was incredibly delicious. Besides that, the ambiance was excellent; we enjoyed our meal while looking out at the night sea view. All the staff that evening were very friendly, and finally, they presented me with birthday chocolates. It was truly a perfect start to the evening and a wonderful dining experience. On May 29th, we visited the Kowloon Whampoa Harbour Grand Hotel to enjoy a lavish buffet lunch (12:00 PM - 2:30 PM). The price was reasonable and offered excellent value for money. There was a wide variety of food, and the quality and taste were guaranteed to be delicious. The hotel staff and servers provided excellent service. We've dined here many times and have never been dissatisfied. Our table was conveniently located near the food, which was perfect as one of our party was an elderly person who requested easy access to the buffet. The environment was pleasant with bright natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows, though the air conditioning was slightly insufficient, which wasn't a major issue. Regarding the food, there was roast beef, which is my favorite, as well as salmon sashimi, octopus, fresh scallops, and fresh red shrimp—all fresh and varied. The cakes and desserts were satisfying. There was a slight shortage of cutlery, but it was replenished quickly, perhaps because the kitchen couldn't wash and replace it fast enough. Overall, I give it a five-star rating; it was a satisfactory experience.
