Hotell nära Disney California Adventure® Park

proximity to the parks is hard to beat. for a “5 star” hotel the rooms leave a lot to be desired, but better than other Disney alternatives. rooms just felt small and bare. but lobby is pretty and again - you’re staying for the park proximity. overall much quieter and calmer than Disneyland hotel, but Disneyland hotel has better pool for older kids looking for some thrills. staff was very very friendly and accommodating.

I stayed for 5 nights and it was even better than I expected. I had stayed at the Disneyland Hotel until the day before, and compared to that, the room and bathroom were clean, and the shower temperature and water pressure were excellent. It seems there's a smoking area outside the hotel entrance, which I think is particularly good for smokers. (Many Japanese people gathered at the smoking area.) Some rooms have microwaves and some don't, depending on the room plan, but there was one microwave on the first floor. On the second floor, there were two sets of laundry machines (washer and dryer), but they were cash-only. The convenience store inside the hotel is overpriced, with a bottle of water costing about 1000 yen, so I recommend bringing water from Japan or buying it at CVS or the pharmacy across the street. It was a 5-minute walk from the hotel to CVS when there weren't many people during the day. For getting to the park, I recommend the free bus from the Toy Story Parking lot, which is across the road. If there are a lot of people, it's about a 15-20 minute walk, but at night, as you get closer to the hotel, the crowds thin out, so using a bus or similar transportation might be safer. This hotel's entrance doors are designed so that you can't open them from the outside without a key card from night until morning, which also made me feel secure. I could even see some of the Disneyland fireworks from outside the hotel!

Jag använde hotellet för första gången under en 4-nätters vistelse, ensam som kvinna på en utlandsresa för att besöka Disneyland. Jag skäms över att erkänna att min engelska är bristfällig och jag var orolig, men jag fick vänlig och noggrann service från incheckning till städning och utcheckning. Läget är utmärkt, bara 10-20 minuters promenad till Disneyland, men på grund av min bristande kondition och trötthet tyckte jag att promenaden tillbaka var ganska ansträngande. Området runt hotellet är säkert, särskilt på kvällen då man går tillbaka i samma riktning som andra parkbesökare, så det kändes tryggt att gå ensam som kvinna på kvällen. Rummet var rent och bekvämt. Jag rekommenderar att ta med egen tandborste, pyjamas och tofflor då dessa inte finns tillgängliga. Städning sker endast på begäran, så jag gick personligen till receptionen på den andra dagen (eftersom jag var osäker på att kommunicera via telefon) och bad om att få rummet städat. Vid utcheckningen frågade en personal som råkade vara utanför om jag skulle checka ut, och jag behövde bara lämna över rumsnyckeln för att slutföra processen! Det var enkelt och smidigt. Trots att det var min första gång var det en trygg, bekväm och prisvärd vistelse. Jag skulle gärna bo här igen!

This was my second stay, and I really liked that it was within walking distance of Disneyland. It gets very hot during the day, so being able to return to the hotel to rest and recharge, then re-enter Disneyland in the evening, allowed us to fully enjoy our time. When the toilet got clogged, they responded immediately. The complimentary breakfast was also a great perk. There was even a microwave in the room, so we could make rice balls with the instant rice we brought from Japan.

I stayed for two nights and wanted housekeeping to clean the room, but when I returned after 4 PM, it still hadn't been cleaned. It seemed like they were just a couple of doors down, and I would have appreciated at least a towel exchange, but that didn't happen either. Since there were two of each, I managed, but there was no complimentary water service, so I started to think a better hotel might have been preferable. However, the location is good; I could walk back alone even past midnight, so perhaps it's a trade-off. If it were further away, walking alone might be risky, but because it's close, there were many people walking around even late at night, so it felt safe. It's a bit old, but the cleaning is thorough. It would have been helpful if they had told me the room was in the other building, as I got very lost at first.

The accommodation was a bit too expensive for Japanese guests, so we could only stay for one night, but the room was excellent. It even had a bathtub, which was very relaxing. I accidentally left my room key inside the room and was in a bit of a predicament, but the staff at the lobby kindly assisted me with the process. Plus, we had direct access to both Disneyland parks.

The building and facilities are old. The most challenging part was the shower. While it's good that the showerhead is fixed, the water pressure was low, and it was difficult to adjust the temperature. Also, the plastic wrapping on the complimentary cups had holes, so I didn't use them. Overall, there was dust on the furniture, but areas frequently used, like the bed and table, were clean and tidy. The shuttle bus was convenient and ran regularly, and the hotel staff were kind, which put me at ease. Although cleaning only occurred every three days, I appreciated not having strangers entering my room frequently. Overall, it's a good hotel. I think it would be more guest-friendly if they fixed the elevator closest to the front desk sooner, as it remained out of order.
