The tour was well organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. It was fascinating to learn about the history and behind-the-scenes details of the set. The scenery was stunning, and there were plenty of opportunities to take memorable photos. The comfortable luxury van made the journey relaxing and pleasant, allowing us to sit back and take in the beautiful scenery along the way.

A very lovely experience on the whole! Loved both the Waitomo Caves tour and the Hobbiton Movie set tour. All the guides were very clear and professional in their explanation, with drops of humour. Rachel the bus driver and main guide was also very reassuring, responsible and clear in instructions. we saw many lovely free range sheeps and cows along the way. very valuable for money. the coach bus was also comfortable!

The two main attractions, the Glowworm Caves and the Geothermal Valley, were both better than the Australian attractions I visited last year, offering higher quality and unique characteristics. The driver, Mike, was very proactive and had a deep understanding of the Maori people. In addition to driving, he also took on the roles of tour guide and leader, providing detailed accounts of Maori history along the way, which made the long journey of several hours far from boring. Although WiFi was provided on the bus, we only had the chance to ask the driver for the password during a short break after the bus stopped. It would have been better if the driver had proactively given everyone the password before departure.

After completing this tour, I highly recommend it! Our guide, Ash, was incredibly kind and friendly, providing all the necessary equipment which was both complete and clean. The secret exploration process felt very enriching, and there was ample time to quietly enjoy the valley full of fireflies. They also helped with photos, and the pictures are beautiful, I love them.

I can definitely give this a 5-star rating! I highly recommend this tour. However, it involves a long drive. It takes over two hours to reach the Cathedral Cove parking area, and then about a 30-minute walk down to Cathedral Cove itself. The 30-minute walk down is fine, but the return journey is very tiring. You'll spend about one to two hours at the beach. You can check the water temperature and weather to decide whether to go for a swim; I recommend it. The Hot Water Beach is a lot of fun; everyone digs in the sand together to create their own hot pools. The water is really hot, which is very interesting! The tour guide will introduce New Zealand's plants and trees along the way, as well as share many interesting stories. There is no Chinese service here, so if your English listening/speaking isn't great, you should prepare a translation app. If your English isn't good, you'll miss out on a lot of the fun.

If the app offered more than 5-stars, this one was definitely a solid 10-star experience. Our guide, Alessandro, had the humor, wit and presence that made the whole trip very memorable - he was very funny and knowledgeable, the 2-hour trip to and from Hobbiton was an entirely different experience. Our family has been through so many travel guides, and by far, Alessandro of Cheeky Kiwi is a paramount best! What an experience of a lifetime.

This was such a cool place!!! It was so much fun to learn about filming in the place where it all happened!
